Used to come here almost once a week and it was such good food. Came back after a year and they have. A new rule that you cannot bring outside beverages inside. Which I thought was a known unspoken rule in restaurants. I was told they are having trouble with people bringing in their own alcohol.
The hostess kindly offered to hold my water bottle at the hostess stand but I declined letting her know I’d put it in the car but I did want to make a complaint as this is water and water is free. I also clarified if the rule still held if I ordered a drink. She confirmed that she would still need to take my water. This is BAD business but it’s their restaurant and at the same time I still wanted to communicate that I didn’t like it so it was taken into consideration.
The manager came over and from the get go was very rude and passive aggressive. Maybe you enforce that rule most of the time but when you see a customer is mad about it and they are trying to patronize your business and it’s not going to cost you a cent, I would think you would let it go? Or at the very least POLITELY tell them “I completely understand and it’s a new rule we are trying out as we have had some issues with other customers brining in alcohol but I will make sure your comments are passed on to the owner”.
Manager should take some classes on how to be a better communicator. Maybe they were at the last straw idk but I did try to communicate the complaint and not be rude. Unfortunately for this person they just have a bad attitude I guess.
Won’t be coming back here. I’m not sure if they would enforce this if you brought your kids water bottles in here either. But better not to waste your time finding out and go...

Read moreHad been eyeing this place for some time - finally got a chance to try it on the New Years eve. From outside you cannot see inside ambiance & that increases the curiosity factor, but might drive away potential customers as well.
Once inside ambience of the place is decent (not akin to a Japanese Sushi place). Place was filled with customers (mostly youngling). Now about the service - wait staff is very attentive & quick to take your order.
On the food side, we tried the spring rolls & tom yum soup from the appetizers, lemonade & lychee saketini for beverages, for Sushi we ordered the Udadi Roll, Lucky Buddha Roll & Evergreen Roll, side order of fried rice - An order mix of seafood & veggies.
Overall the food taste was decent, nothing extraordinary. Only the spring rolls dipping sauce stood out for its taste. The down side is the sushi rolls quantity to price. For $14 the size and quantity of Sushi was too small, would say $7 worth.
Conclusion - Go here if you feel: You need to have a light lunch or dinner, if you are not super hungry & just want to have something to nimble, Want to talk more than have food, Want to try Sushi for first time without risking much, Don’t want to go into downtown Tampa & enjoy...
