I may be a small tab w/o alcoholic drinks but these folks might not realize the reach I have being an established business owner in town and any who ask will be getting my honest opinion about here.
They spent a billion dollars on the landscaping and building , the ambiance is second to none very cool place but that's where the positive ends. I showed up at around 7:45 and sat at the bar so there wasn't a wait. Hosts were friendly, views were awesome. The swing chairs suck but we all know that. More of a novelty item. Either way all is well till I watch everyone around me get their food before me and then finally after people start leaving does the lady notice I'm still sitting there over an hour later no food. Still wasn't a big deal till when I got it A it was tiny as can be, and B was extremely over seasoned. I had been warned by the couple sitting next to me that they are still trying to figure out the food and that they didn't like it so I was not shocked to experience the same. The shrimp was super fishy tasting for some reason, and the "Alfredo" was extremely spicy, and not very tasteful. Like they just threw every seasoning they had at it back there.
What brought me to write this review is when who I assume is a Manager of sorts was a bald guy with ear piercings asked me how it was and I told him honestly but politely, he just shrugged it off and walked away. So I had to pay for another bowl of "butter" noodles so I could tame down the original plate enough to eat it, and also get enough food in me to not be hungry when I left.
At the minimum I figured he and the bartender would comp me for the $7 kids bowl of "butter sauce" (which also had 3 pounds of spice thrown on it for some reason) but instead they didn't. In fact the whole place was almost cleared out by the time I finished my food because of their mistake loosing my order.
No sorry, no we will make it right. Just $35 for $12 worth of food, and a sour attitude. I still tipped the lady over 20% even though she was worth 15 herself.
If your going there to get drunk and look at the views, I'm sure it's the spot for you. If your going there for an actual good meal forget about it, they spent all their money on the landscaping to afford a decent cook staff and management. Don't just take my word for it, ask the locals. I wouldn't have wrote this if the bald dude maybe payed a little more mind to what I was feeling...

Waited over 15 minutes to get a drink order in due to the fact that the host did not provide a drink menu and the waitress had too many tables to be able to greet us and go get a drink menu we've learned from a previous occasion not to get drinks that aren't on the drink menu they think a lime Daiquiri is a frozen drink When we finally ordered drinks we also ordered appetizers approximately 15 minutes later the appetizers arrived they were good I had heard that they came out with a new menu and Chef the only problem was we were never provided with waters for our drinks another server finally came over and asked us if she could get us some Waters thank goodness because it wouldn't be for another 10 minutes that we got our cocktails total of 25 minute wait time from when we ordered them It's now been 40 minutes I had to take my toddler on two walks due to there being no food and or drinks with the exception of the 7 Minutes of the appetizers are on the table the drinks finally arrived and they're fine nothing incredible We finally order our meals when our cocktails come out I ordered the mahi entree with mango chutney 10 minutes go by we finish our first cocktails the waitress Never Comes to order another round I take my son for another walk around the tiki style establishment on the water which is wonderfully designed I decided when I come back my food isn't there and I don't have another cocktail I'm leaving as soon as we sit down the food arrives I asked to talk to a manager the manager comes over hey guys I'm telling him about the hour and 15 minutes that I waited with one drink and two appetizers I try my fish entree to find it to be the driest piece of fish I've ever eaten I have two bites and I tell the manager have you ever had fish you can't cut with a fork I tell him I don't want anything off the bill I pay my bills he said I've already Takin off the alcohol which was nice of them but unnecessary
Moral of the story is this is a tourist trap at this point at one point in time they had decent food but that day has come and gone along with the service
Total bill with the two drinks taken off was $127 tip $43 to cover drinks and 15% true tip Price to performance horrible Check out some of my five star reviews...

I don’t often leave reviews, but after our experience at Yucatan Waterfront Bar and Grill, I feel obligated to warn others — especially vegetarians or anyone who actually cares about food quality.
To start with the one bright spot: our waitress. She was genuinely trying her best and was as helpful as she could possibly be given the circumstances. But unfortunately, the rest of the staff and especially the “chef” were completely clueless. It’s truly baffling how a place can look so freshly renovated and yet serve food that tastes like it came from a gas station microwave. All that money spent on décor should have gone to cooking lessons.
We ordered a taco salad and guacamole. The guacamole came out brown — not a little off-color, but obviously old. When we asked someone why it looked that way, they told us the chef overcooked it. Overcooked guacamole?! That alone tells you all you need to know about the level of ignorance happening in that kitchen. Guacamole. Is. Not. Cooked.
The taco salad? A joke. It was literally just a giant pile of spring mix dumped into a taco bowl with some canned chili and beans slapped on top. I asked for several extras to make it somewhat edible, but none were brought until I had to send our poor waitress back multiple times. Even then, we had to request salt, pepper, and lemon juice just to add some kind of flavor to the disaster we were served.
To make matters worse, the food was delivered cold. Not lukewarm — cold. No pride in preparation, no attention to detail, just plates being pushed out of a dysfunctional kitchen.
The kids’ menu is almost nonexistent. My daughter ended up eating some of the cheapest, blandest mac and cheese I’ve ever seen — the kind you’d find at a Dollar General in a box. And for the price? Absolutely insulting.
My husband ordered the fish sandwich, supposedly grouper. It was bone dry and flavorless — not even sauce or seasoning could save it. Just another sad plate from a sad kitchen.
In the end, the only thing we were full of was disappointment. The view might be nice, but that’s not enough to justify overpriced, poorly made, and flavorless food served by a team that clearly has no idea what they’re doing behind the scenes.
Please do not waste your money, your time, or your appetite at this place. It’s a beautiful setting with a broken heart — and that heart is...
