Old St Louis Chop Suey — Restaurant in Florissant

When i want Chinese food this place is usually is my first choice but i haven't been in along while. So today i placed a order for a whole box of ham fried rice and 4 rolls. I was told my order would be ready in 10 mins. So i headed up there after 20 mins to pick my food. The mistake i made was not getting the price over the phone but i wasnt expecting it to be no more than $12. When i got up there the young man working the register said my order was $16.95! Lol just for rice and egg rolls. I told him i needed to get couple extra dollars out my car real quick and I'd be right back. I went to my car and never came back! Lol. You've got to be kidding me! I can get more food for less almost anywhere for that price. I hadnt been there in a while but their prices have GONE WAY UP!! Will definitely be eating at the Chinese food place in Hazelwood for now on. I mean come on lets do math if a whole box of rice is $6 and egg rolls are $1.20 each i ordered 4. I placed an order for my family dinner and spent a total of $45 plus only to get home to find out that the hot Braise chicken wings with bone in, wings were micro tiny and the egg for young Patty was burnt. I called up there to advise them that my patty was burnt (Made no mention of the wings) and I was advised to bring the food back up there Saturday night or either Monday In order to receive a credit for the egg for Young. I personally think that was piss poor Service to request someone to get back out in the bad weather to bring back an egg foo young order.. Just the fact of my order was burnt so you took the risk of losing a customer to save $10 at max because I will never return if this is the type of quality of food that you’re putting out now way different from when we moved here in 2005. I absolutely LOVE the food here! I'm pretty sure it's literally a 'Mom & Pop" owned restaurant (and hopefully it is) so I get food from there as often as I can. If you place your order over the phone, sometimes you can have a little trouble understanding the person on the phone (english is not their 1st language) but they have never gotten my order wrong! Their egg rolls and Low Mein are my go-to but EVERYTHJNG I've had there has been very good! On top of all of this, the food is very reasonably priced, especially when compared to fast food or sit-down type places.
