Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Flower Mound

We had a Christmas party and had called ahead for our group of 8. To be fair, there were a lot of families taking advantage of the "Kids eat Free" night. The host told us the wait for 2 tables to be pushed together would likely be 15 minutes. 30 minutes later we were still standing with two very hungry toddlers and some tired party goers. Several tables were cleared in a way that could have accommodated us, but the host chose to seat others in those positions. After waiting an hour and having a conversation with Dustin, the manager, we finally got a seated. The entire time we waited, we weren't offered drinks of any kind or food. Many restaurants I've been to have offered both, when there is a wait. We were seated, but no waiter was to be found to cover our group. We flagged down someone who was supposed to be with another group to get the children something to drink. No one could find our waiter, and eventually the waiter, Ben, who was not originally ours served our table. He did a fantastic job and made sure that everyone had what they needed. When we talked to the manager after being seated (while we were waiting for our missing waiter) my husband told the manager he felt that we had been treated unfairly and suggested that we might be entitled to dessert. The manager agreed. The food made it out and was pretty much average, run of the mill Chili's fare. When it came time for dessert the manager told us for the table of 8 that we were only going to have 2 free desserts. (we only ordered 5 total, as several of us were splitting the desserts). He said that it was what he had told us originally, which was not. He was confrontational in his demeanor and after all we had been through no one ever apologized for the inconveniences. After some arguing, and some terrible behavior on the manager's behalf we did eventually get our desserts, though we are afraid they might have spit in them. Two months ago I went down from 5 stars to 4 because my food was cold. I had chips and salsa before meal, and didn't eat but a few chips when my food arrived. I told her "Wow, that was fast." Last night I got there at 10:20 PM Saturday and sat in the bar area. A waitress on the other side saw me sitting there several times. The bartender was busy cleaning and walking back and forth to kitchen, then a waitress came to the side i was sitting but only cleaned a few tables and left. The manager ( in a red shirt) walked through,, looked at me with menu layed on table then turned and walked through kitchen then to the far back right corner of dining area to waitress kiosk where 2 & 3 waitresses were going through their tickets. Finally at 10 :30 I walked to bar and ordered. As I sat down a waitress came through sweeping the floor. I have learned to not come here if it's 20 minutes before closing. There weren't many people there last night when i got there. Maybe 3 groups of customers. I guess the employees were ready to get cleaned up and go home. I can't give a comment on the food because I woke up at 3 in the morning with a sore throat that has lasted all day This Chili's used to be the best and a favorite place to eat. Food is inconsistent and the web site is a joke.

Added 8/29/23 Your website never shows me that payment was accepted. It says “crunching numbers” and spools endlessly. I showed the poor girl who brought out my food and she had to go back inside to check. Payment went through, but I didn’t know.

This has happened every time I order from you. I can’t be the only one.! I NEVER have an issue with any other restaurant. I order take out 2-3 times per week from a dozen different sites. My wife likes your salmon and we order from you 2-3 times most months.

This has been going on forever. It’s frustrating and easy to fix. FIRE YOUR WEB DEVELOPER OR YOUR PAYMENT PROCESSOR AND SAVE ON YOUR PERSONELL COSTS AND INCREASE SALES FROM FEWER FRUSTRATED CUSTOMERS.
