We've been coming to this place for 7 years and used to have a 5 star opinion. In the last year or 2 we've had mixed reviews at best. Multiple times we have had to return to have them remake the food because the sauce was split or extraordinarily sweet. We started explaining on the phone what we would like before we came in and then checking it in the parking lot before we left because we drive 40 minutes to get this curry. Tonight my husband went and got our normal butter chicken and tikka masala and tested it before he left. It was extremely sweet again. After asking them to remake it, the owner/manager explained that they consider butter chicken and tikka masala for kids (why?!?) and that if we didn't want it sweet, we needed to have asked/ said that on the phone. (Why we would ask that I have no clue.) Even though ultimately the base is already made and there's no way to have it not sweet and he suggested we order chicken korma chicken curry instead - so, basically not order what we actually like.
So unfortunately, this will be the last time we'll be eating...
Read moreWe had been here several years ago and remembered that we ordered chicken tikka masala and it was very spicy, it was good but I couldn’t eat it. I understand there has been a change in ownership since then. We ordered the same thing but mild and I would say it was still pretty spicy (4/5 out of 10). It wasn’t bad but it was very tomato-y. I was disappointed that they didn’t have Basmati rice, instead plain rice. The garlic naan was “blackened” which I liked (crispy), very good. They did not have iced tea, they did not have ice! They had canned drinks which were not particularly cold and were expensive. These things I’ve come to expect in an “American” Indian restaurant. I apologize for my “Americanism.” You sit at a simple table with paper plates and plastic ware. I mention these things so others will know what to expect. Will we go back? I don’t think so, sadly. At the least, I would recommend investing in a good ice machine, that would make...
Read moreI am new to Texas and wanted to try some Indian food around. I went through ratings in google to check good Indian restaurant near Lewisville and somehow found this positive. I have booked a cab and arrived at the restaurant exactly at 7:55 PM and the restaurant closing time was 9:00 PM. As soon as the people at the counter saw us coming inside, they started telling that the chef was busy with orders and they couldn't even accept us inside. This is so disgusting and why the heck does they mention the closing time as 9:00 PM. I have been to many Indian restaurants in US, but never had such a terrible experience. I have to return back home starving and paying the to and fro fare for the cab. Is this the way you treat your customers?? Instead, you could have just told me to wait for the order as the people in the Kitchen are busy. And, to my surprise there were only 6 customers inside the restaurant...
