Started with a dinner salad and their house dressing. Without a doubt, one of the best dressings I have ever had. Then, moved into the garlic bread knots. Nothing like fresh homemade bread!!! They came out piping hot! Had the Duo for the entree. It's chicken parmesan with fettuccine alfredo. WOW!!! Finished off with some excellent Tiramisu! Light and very fresh! I highly recommend Italy Express! It's a small place, so get there early! They do fill up in the evening! It's only a husband and wife team! I hope they're around for a long time!!! Following up on my initial review!!! We've now been here four times. Our second visit was a large Chicken Alfredo pizza! Very tasty and very fresh! Their pizza crust is awesome! Our third visit was both dine in and carry out. Dining in, I enjoyed their server's recommendation for Chicken Marsala. WOW!!! Absolutely amazing! We took home a Calzone that we warmed in the oven the next evening. Again, very good. I can only imagine this fresh out of their oven! Yesterday was our forth visit. My son had their Chicken Alfredo and I opted for the Chicken Cacciatore! OMGosh!!! Quite likely the best Chicken Cacciatore I've ever had! From the entrees before, I started noticing the pastas in their entrees are quite different. They make their own pastas!!! This place is amazing!!! If you're after some Italian cuisine, you owe it to yourself to head over to...
Read moreItaly Express is terrible. We only tried them because reviews said they were "good" and "authentic". All lies. My 7 y/o said the food was worse than her school's cafeteria.
Why didn't I speak with a manager? Because they don't care. No one who cares would serve customers lasagna looking like a pile of vomit.
Lasagna came out flat. FLAT! It looked like they threw pasta sheets and boiled ground beef together with sauce and just melted cheese over it. And the sauce was too sweet. No bechamel, it's not that kind of lasagna.
Spaghetti meatball was also sad. The noodles were overcooked and the meatballs were commercial, not made in-house. The sauce was the same as the lasagna which was too sweet. Seems like they use the same red sauce for everything.
Mozzarella sticks were the frozen commercial kinds. Nothing special here. You can get these at Sam's or other grocery stores.
They don't serve water here so you have to get bottles. I'm ok with that but it's an annoyance when the food is bad.
This was the worse meal we've had in a long time. My daughters didn't finish their food. I had to force myself to finish mine because I was raised to finish my plate.
Nothing authentic and nothing good. Definitely won't...
Read moreI'm sorry but these other reviews had to have had a drastically different experience than me and my girlfriend's experience, the food was plainly put quite bad, a small kudos to them because they did seem nice and were attentive and got everything in a timely manner but my chicken fettuccine alfredo tasted oddly sour, the mozzarella sticks tasted very cheap and store bought, and my girlfriend's dish was just sort of bland. If you look at my profile you'll see that I honestly don't have a high standard for restaurants and I'm very easy to please but being that this place had 4.9 star average I was shockingly disappointed at this establishment, perhaps it has something to do with the new management but I unfortunately will most likely never go there again, I do hope they can manage to...
