Puerto Vallarta — Restaurant in Flushing

Decided to try something different, so we chose here (Oct 13th). When we walked in, unfortunately, the smell of Fabolusa, or wall plug-ins, was extremely strong. I understand a restaurant wanting a clean area and a nice smelling facility, but sadly, when all you smell is that and not any food, i think it's safe to say it's way too much. 😕 We sat down to order, the lady server was super nice, and we got our drinks and chips/salsa quickly. We ordered 3 Nachos Carbons and a quesadilla. Our food was on the table within 10 mins (not sure if that was a good thing). The nachos were average. Lots of steak, chicken, and a few shrimp. The liquid cheese they put on it was really nice... good flavor. My daughter enjoyed the quesadilla, lots of meat and cheese, her only recommendation, some tomatoes, and lettuce in with it. Overall, it wasn't terrible, but hopefully, they get that overwhelming smell handled. Even while we were eating, we could smell that over our food, and when we got into the car...we could still smell it. Lol crazy, we've never experienced this...

The staff was VERY friendly! The server was on top of chips, drinks etc. My table ordered 3 Nachos Carbons and a Quesadilla. Our food was on the table, no more then 10 mins after we ordered. Not sure if that is a good thing or not. The nachos were mediocre, but lots of meat and the cheese (wet cheese) had a good flavor. The Quesadilla was HUGE...daughter said she would have liked tomatoes or lettuce in it, but she said it had lots of meat and cheese. Our only complaint....they must use Fabulosa cleaner. It was EXTREMELY strong in the air. We could even smell it (and even a faint taste in our mouths) as we were eating. I totally respect you like your business clean, love that, but to have it so strong that that is all you smell (you didnt even smell their food cooking as you walked in, or after we sat down, it was that strong) maybe you can mellow it out a bit? I understand ppl saying, hey, at least the place is clean, but...to have the smell so strong that after we eat, we get in the car, we can still smell it, might be a little too much. Just...

Ordered the 3 tacos and a fajita salad and a few other things from door dash. In the door dash app when you open the item description for the 3tacos it says "Soft taco with beef or chicken." I got hard grocery store shells. Called to point it out because maybe the door dash description is wrong and needs to be corrected. Goodness knows I'd never order grocery store hard shell tacos and was surprised an authentic Mexican restaurant would either. Well, after the third person got on the phone he started arguing with me about it saying soft taco on the app. It does. If this app lets me I will upload a screenshot. I just told him I wasn't going to argue with him and hung up The fajita taco salad had a tiny amount of shredded lettuce and the fajita ingredients were greasy so it was a soggy mess. Shell was stale. You only get one tiny rammiken of salsa and it was watery. This was my third time trying this place. The other 2 times I ate inside. Food was greasy then too. Service inside...
