We have a Pelican's SnoBall in Bowling Green, KY so when we spotted one here in Alabama, we had to stop. The building is bigger and I really liked that they have a public restroom. There are several picnic tables under a wooden canopy and they also had a few games for kids and adults. Large connect 4 and Tic Tac Toe. And there are so many flavors! Everything from Banana with cream, my favorite, all the way to a Dill Pickle flavor, ( not tried that yet). I would of given this Pelican's a 5 star however the snowballs were smaller and not near the flavor that we were used to getting. There were 2 workers that I was in contact with and I really like friendly and kind people especially in restaurants and treat places such as this but one of them almost seemed annoyed to even take our order and money. Not 1 smile but tho other was great! Lots of smiles...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place is no joke! We pulled in around 12:30 on a weekday and there was a 5-10 minute wait - we knew this place had to be good! We were craving a good ole snow cone after a few hours on the beach and we are SO glad we came here! So many incredible & delicious flavors. We were even brave enough to try the āpickle popā which did not mix well with our regular cups of ānormalā flavors. š We are planning a trip back in December & hoping they are open then - I would visit every day just to try all their flavors! I recommend the blue raspberry & lemonade combo, so refreshing! My husband got the green apple & grape combo and loved it. The consistency is so much better than your convenience store slushees, ice doesnāt clump like your regular snow cones, and the syrup is perfectly blended throughout the entire cup. Job...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy husband and I love coming here in the summer with his cousins to enjoy the snow cones and play the games they have available with the kids. However, this past time we went was below par. We got there at 6:30 and they have advertised that they close at 8 on sundays. Plenty of time to have a good time and leave before closing. But as soon as we started eating our snow cones, a younger girl that works there started picking up all the games they had and putting it away. The guy came out around 7 to put the hula hoops away, but was "so gracious" to leave a few out for one of the kids that was playing because she started to cry. I dont think you should be making your customers feel rushed to leave when you still have a whole hour before closing simply because you...
