Excellent Mexican eats, very fast service. Salsa's is a nice little neighborhood style place where you order at the front, grab your chips and salsa, cups for the soda machine and maybe a beer and then pick out your table. We ate midweek around 6:30 pm and they were only about a third full. The dinners came less than 5 minutes after we sat down so not so much time to enjoy the complimentary chips and salsa but the food was very good. I ordered the Chile Colorado which was thinly sliced seasoned beefsteaks served with fresh tortillas, sides or guacamole and sour cream with a roasted jalapeno pepper and beans and rice. Our table also ordered a Super burrito and a Tamale plate. All were generous portions with fresh flavorful ingredients. There were several seafood options that looked really good and are on My list for our next visit. !My main complaint was the containers for the chips were so small that I couldn't get more than 6 or 7 chips without spilling some and the salsa cups were of the small plastic to go type. An option to have a larger container for the chips as well as the salsa I so that dine-in eaters could share the traditional starter, would be very welcome. All in all, Salsa's is a nice little restaurant option for Folsom that offers fast, fresh Mexican flavors that I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCame here day after Christmas from the outlets with my family. My daughter and son ordered the Quesabarria tacos and asada fries And my husband and I ordered fajitas. I'll start with the asada fries. The fries tasted like they were at the bottom of the freezer and then to make it worse they were only lightly fried š¤so basically they were getting mushy by the second after they put all the nacho ingredients on top . Just wasnt the business. Next up the Qusabarria Tacos we're pretty tasty I will say but my stomach didn't like them at all so much grease š Then the fajitas ... the meat was gross it was cheap skirt steak and the pollo was dried out like nothing tasted fresh except the shrimp š¤ but by the time I took a bite of the shrimp I was already nauseous from all the oils in everything. Chips, tacos and even veggies on the fajita plate were covered in oil. I tried this place because of the reviews but I am starting to see that they are pretty subjective to the level of clienteleš¤·š½āāļø I'm really sorry to give this review to a local business because they were polite and the restaurant was clean. I just want to give a different Perspective just in case for others who eat clean, I.e oils etc... This is definitely not the place for you. Signed...

It's a simple bar/eatery place where you order at a counter, but the food is served to your table.
The service is amicable and courteous, and you can feel they want you there, and they care about your experience. The food, unfortunately, is uneven.
We had tried many dishes. Last time we had four, and there's only one worth another try.
Flauta - a la carte $2.75 One with beef or pork. Both were really dry.
Tacos $5.97 Three tacos: Pastor + Carnitas + Carne Deshebrada All three were tender but could use some more seasoning. The good thing is they all came hot. Which is a big plus, since often tacos get less than lukewarm, the moment they end up on a table.
Kids Taco $5.75 One Taco al Pastor with beans and rice. Taco was warm, not seasoned enough, beans and rice flavorless.
Chile Colorado Plate $11.95 The best dish on the table. The meat was juicy and tender, nicely seasoned.
In short: (1-5) Taste: 2 (Chile Colorado 4) Presentation of the dish: 1/2 Standard of the restaurant: 2 Waiting time: good Dishes worth the money: Almost Portion size: Medium Service: Very Courteous Cleanliness: Good Type of restaurant: Everyday eatery/bar
Overall: Some items are...
