Blue Line Tavern — Restaurant in Fond du Lac

Never again. I took my family for brunch. Upon delivery of the food the waiter brought the salad which I ordered a la carte and as an appetizer. I kindly asked him to take the salad back and please remove it from the bill, I told him I was not angry just wished it as the appetizer. We enjoyed the meal however we did not receive the bacon my wife ordered. Upon receiving the check I found the salad still on the bill. I took it to the bar to pay, the server approached me and I asked him to remove the items so I could pay. He angrily yelled at me "I brought you the food, you just didn't eat it!". I calmly reiterated, "the service (which I pay for) was to receive it as an appetizer". He yelled back (and not because there was too much noise), "We only have one cook back there". I replied "I'm sorry to hear that". He threw the check in the air and stomped away. I stood there not knowing what was to happen, the check on the floor. Another server approached and asked if she could help me and I explained about the items. She promptly removed them and was very kind in finishing the ordeal. I thanked her, wrote a tip for our server ( a generous amount considering the occasion) and exited. I contemplated talking to the manager about the issue, however, I noticed he was at the bar, witness to the incident. We stopped in to have dinner before going shopping. Well to start we waited 20 minutes before someone came to wait on us. We started off with drinks it took 20 minutes to make 2 drinks. We wanted fish since it was Friday. The fish wasn't on the menu that was handed to us. I ordered the perch dinner. The waitstaff/bartender still had not finished making the 2 drinks. Finally we received our food I had to call the waitstaff/bartender over to the table to ask for my salad. The perch I believe came from a box, it didn't taste like perch at all it had too much breading like fish sticks. I wasn't satisfied with it, but the salad was good. While eating we were asked it we needed anything else my husband ordered another drink. I noticed 4 ladies standing at the bar. I said we are going to see how long it's going to take to get that drink. The ladies that were at the bar all left and went across the street to another place. 20 minutes had gone by and still no drink. So we said never mind we just wanted the check. I won't order fish there again... well we will not be back too long waiting for service. Nice place just...

Called for nachos grande for pick up. Waiter asked for my last name, I said it and spelled it out for him twice, COPP. it has four letters. I wasn't going to spend the next minute spelling out a four letter name he didnt need so I finally I just said just leave the letter C. He still entered it wrong and put PU something. I got there timely, I still had to wait another 6 minutes because the waiter didn't put to go. The cook dumped it into a box but ruined it and said they had to remake it which is fine. When I received it it was cold, no sour cream or salsa, no bag or silverware. There wasn't more than one table in the area I entered. And a credit card fee on top of all this? I worked in restaurants for 13 years culminating in Blue Hill at Stone Barns under Chef Dan Barber, there's no reason any small establishment can't be a Michelin level restaurant without a little effort, this is service I wouldn't even expect from Popeyes.
