Las Islas Marias — Restaurant in Fontana

We spent over $80 for my husband n myself for 2 shrimp cocktail 2 tostadas and 2 beers...but the worst thing is that there were Toooooooo Maaaaaaaany Flies. And as I was finishing my tostada the waitress arrived with my shrimp cocktail and left it on the table. I was about to take another bite of my tostada when I saw something moving inside my shrimp cocktail!

the waitress came back with lemon and crackers to go with my shrimp cocktail and I pointed out the fly because I didn't want to make a scene there....so she started to take my shrimp cocktail to bring me another one...I told her to leave that one there and bring me another one and she asked me why she couldn't take it back with her??

I told her that I was afraid she was ONLY goung to remove the NASTY FLY and bring me the same shrimp cocktail!! That's why I wanted a fresh new cocktail. she was upset RUDE...she did apologize once and made it seem like it was our fault the fly flew in there!!

I thought at least they were going To offer not to pay for my shrimp cocktail but they didn't...they were just staring at us from behind the cashier counter. The cashier/Waitress was like from Colombia or Argentina light skinned n thin. I told her I was goung to send email to their corporate office or CEO...which I did...they NEVER REPLIED

Wish I could leave NO STARS! my parents went here for their anniversary dinner & were treated very badly! My mom asked for help with the menu because the English is printed very small under the Spanish, the waitress was annoyed & RUDE to them?! Not only was she rude but RACIST! As she walks away, waitress Said under her breath, "They're white & and can't read, hahaha!" Visibility laughing & staring at them! She absolutely heard & and understood, lady! Mom asked for a different margarita because the mango mix was rotten & smelled/ tasted sour. This waitress really has some nerve bringing a glass with a 1/4 inch of salt in the bottom next! Wait, there's more! The shrimp fajitas were dry and ALSO tasted rotten. So my parents, on their 38 year anniversary, took a chance on a local business were treated like trash & they did not get to eat because of the color of their skin?!? She is not the kind of person to say anything, so they paid the bill and threw the food in the trash. BTW the bill for fajitas, one margarita & a water was $68, so they were charged for the rotten 1st one. Waiting for a call back from the owner, will be demanding a refund & and reporting them to the health department for...

CHECK YOUR BILL STATEMENT AND KEEP YOUR RECEIPT. I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. Was not planning on returning and did not tip. When going through my bank statement I noticed that I was charged more than I authorized. I believe the server added a 5 dollar tip to the bill intentionally. I do not feel like it was an accident based on the interactions we had. I went back to the restaurant a few days later and they refunded me the entire amount we paid for the whole meal + the tip that was not authorized to be added to the total. Fortunately I had the electronic receipt, copy of the physical receipt, my bank statement, and a witness that saw me write “0”. They did not show me the original receipt.
