Pho Saigon — Restaurant in Fontana

This place looks shiny and bright like a diamond, but the food was mediocre to say the least. I ordered pad Thai spicy with barbecue pork and my gosh there was a few slices of sliced barbecue pork which weren't tasty and a bed of noodles that were not spicy. My son got the chow mein and shrimp and he ate all of it. Said it was okay. My other son got the pho and he hate the dumplings and noodles and the vegetables, not the soup. He said it tasted a little weird. My daughter got the egg rolls. And she said they were good. The waitress was attentive and helpful. When I asked questions about the food. The restrooms were clean and nice. But I would never go there again ever. Our bill was $60 and I wish I wouldn't have gone there. I should have got tacos from this...

Let me say that I have been to this restaurant a few times last summer and I enjoyed many of their dishes before, especially their pho. They also have soda chanh her, which not a lot of Vietnamese restaurants have.

I am not sure what changes with this visit but it was extremely disappointing. I ordered a charbroiled pork dish that took nearly 30 minutes to wait for. When the food came, it was an absurdly small amount of charbroiled pork compared to the rice. It honestly made no sense. I usually do not cause a scene so I asked first instead. I ordered thru Uber eats and my egg rolls were smelling funky… I called the restaurant and they just wanted me to drive there and replace the egg rolls… they sent sweet chili sauce and no vegetables came with my order… the meat also tasted stale sour… the reason I order through Uber is to have it delivered so I didn’t have to drive… not feeling so good after the egg roll… not a place I can recommend… other Vietnamese would send the fish sauce as standard dipping sauce.
