Tucked just off Forest Drive in the plaza next to Lowes Foods, is Lazy Daisy. A modern neighborhood coffee shop with the kind of vibe that makes you want to slow down. Lots of natural light, clean design, chill energy.

Coffee’s solid. I went for a cold brew and the Daisy both of which were fantastic.

Now the baked goods? Way better than they need to be. Flaky, fresh, and not overly sweet. Feels like someone’s actually back there baking, not just reheating frozen stuff. The blueberry muffin? Worth a detour.

Service is relaxed and friendly. Nobody’s trying too hard, which I appreciate. Easy spot to hang for a bit or grab something on the go.

Very nice staff. Easy ordering and the line went quick. It was out the door and down the sidewalk when I walked up. I didn't have much time so I hesitated even getting in line but I'm so glad I did. I ordered a dark roast coffee. It was a little watered down for my palate but I drink very strong coffee. There was a homemade soft granola bar wrapped by the register so I grabbed one of those and it was delicious. The girl at the counter was very nice and professional but quick to get my order which I appreciated very much. They were surprisingly efficient even taking into consideration how busy they were. I was so excited to come here. I really love the décor and overall style of Lazy Daisy, it’s definitely chic and bougie. Honestly though, it felt a little too bougie, and I didn’t feel very comfortable or at home there. It was not very welcoming. The coffee itself wasn’t as great as I’d hoped, it was definitely lacking something, though I will say the portion size is generous, which makes the price fair. I had a chocolate croissant, it was so small and not worth the price. I would come back to hang out with a friend, but not if I just want a really good latte.
