My friends and I settled at this pho spot for brunch. This is my second time at this establishment and I will say that I had a very different experience than the first time.
Three of us ordered the P2. Three-topping Pho with brisket and 2x steak. This meal is $17, however we were charged $19 per bowl as apparently in their system they cant ring up double steak? SO be warned if you do order the 1-4 meat choice pho you can not get double of one meat and they will charge you extra which is NOT listed on the menu and was not communicated to us until after I looked at my receipt.
Three of us also ordered their boba tea. I got an iced jasmine milk tea. Our drinks didn't arrive until after we had finished half our meal and the waiter stated to let her know if it taste fine as she had never made it before and just took a guess on how it was made, As her manager was not there and she wasn't taught how. We had also requested straws after ordering for our waters and the waiter never brought us them we got up and got them ourselves.
We ended up paying for our meal and left. Upon looking at the receipt I was charged an extra $15 from nothing and that is also when I also noticed that i was charged for extra meat instead of just being charged for the 3 meats. I mentioned this to the waiter/cashier and she stated that this was their policy but that she will try and figure out why the total is off. She stated the system double charged me for two of the boba's and that she would refund me that but wouldn't refund me the extra 9 dollars i had to pay for "extra meat" even though it wasn't extra it was apart of the three meat pho. I wasn't allowed to revise my type either, this service was definitely not worth a $15 tip and I was extremely disappointed.
I first went to this establishment a few months ago upon them opening. The food was so much better, the pho broth didn't taste watered down and my waiter/cashier was so kind. I believe she was the daughter of the parents who own this business.
I think Pho Pot needs to work on revising their menu to state that you can only get one portion of each meat choice instead of choose 1-4 meat choices. As well as training their staff to not only handles making things on THEIR menu but as well as dealing with customers in general. It all just felt like 2 teenagers not really knowing how to...
Read moreWas hungry and came in with some friends. We were greeted and seated. While looking at their new and updated menu, we see different meat options for the Beef Pho. Most of us ordered the 3 meat option. The cost is $17 and it comes with 3 meats of your choice. What we were NOT told and is NOT shown on the menu is that if you choose a duplicate of a meat you get charged an extra fee and the bowl is downgraded to 2 meat bowl with "extra" meat on the side. So instead of being charged $17 for 3 meats, you get charged $19 per bowl. It would have been nice to be informed of this by the staff or even be put on the MENU. We were told the manager writes the menu so I'd expect for this information to be accessible but it wasn't? To make matters worse, we ordered a few drinks. Tell me why when we check out, we were charged for the drinks TWO times. So instead of being charged for 4 drinks, we get charged for 6. Not to mention, it took about 20 minutes for the food to come out, PLUS an extra 15 minutes for our DRINKS. One of the drinks was just a simple coconut drink and even that took FOREVER. It was not very busy so I don't understand why it would take so long at around 3:30pm. We were not even told about the extra charges until WE looked at the receipt ourselves and had to come back in and have this mistake corrected. They told us they would only refund the drinks and not the extra charges for the meat even though we ordered 3 meats and no where on the menu was it stated that you can't choose duplicate meat for a THREE meat bowl. If we could have had our tip refunded that would have been nice as well because the service was TERRIBLE. Doesn't help that we could also hear loud sirens from the lottery room and there was also a swastika on their window. Unfortunately, will not be returning again which is a shame since I enjoyed the pho. Please stop deceiving...
Read moreNot bad for a pho place in Forest Grove. The broth is good in flavor just not clear in quality. Portion is reasonable. Could use a little more noodles and selective protein choice of all different cuts of meat if getting special bowl. Definitely need improvement on customer service. Server took long to bring out beverages. Served food before the garnishes for the pho, Garnish portion was serving for one when ordered for two. Definitely favor and serve on certain race and population then focusing on the airmatic taste and flavor Vietnamese cuisine. Some minor improvements could change this spot a lot. Maybe adding on additional condiments on side of approach is American Southern style. Okay in quality over all, Specially since the Chinese buffet that was here prior did a really good job and was hoping for better quality with a new spot. Definitely will come back to see improvements and support...
