La Chingada Taqueria — Restaurant in Forest Grove

They don't have enough staff for busy hours, the wait is too much, the salsa bar is dirty and not stocked. To go orders no matter how large you have to fill your own salsa, they should have some prepared so you don't have to do that. The staff is rude and unfriendly and don't even smile or say hello. The food was good when we first went but now they seem to have not cared to provide fresh quality food and we have been disappointed the last few times in so not sure we will give it another try unless they clean things up and start caring for the quality and service. They clearly don't wash hands I witnessed the girl taking orders and taking payments in the back preparing someones food then coming out taking payments without washing hands that is a violation and you need to be washing hands. So Gross! I felt compelled to write a review after my last experience. They also seem to have issue with making any alterations with food like if you don't like a certain meat in the gorditas they have issue with subbing it with another meat like carnitas which is really not good carnitas anyhow but I don't know why even if your willing to pay they don't like to do that I think they need a health inspection and plan to make the health department aware. I went there to have dinner with my son last night. The door is broken and slams shut extremely hard. There is only a little paper sign out front advising to “shut door carefully behind you”. Nothing noting that it is broken or can cause injury. I assumed it implied you had to pull the door shut. It slammed shut on my finger, pinching it between the metal door and the metal frame. Immediately, my finger swelled and started turning purple. I told the woman at the counter, saying very nicely (and I was in pain!) that the door was a safety hazard. She got angry at me and yelled “There’s a sign! No complaining!” I couldn’t believe it. We turned around and walked out. So incredibly rude and totally ignorant to the huge liability this is to her business. It’s a safety violation. The door slams with enough force to break a finger. I eat here with my partner a lot, we love it and keep coming back for more. The food is reasonably priced. The quesabirria and empanadas are delicious. Highly recommend and one of the most reliably good spots in Forest Grove. We have had only one instance out of our many visits where the wait time was almost triple what was told to us, but we were compensated accordingly and they were very polite/understanding. They handled the situation well and we have never had that issue again. Have never had a bad experience with the food - the quality is consistent...
