TL;DR: Clean and spacious facility. Friendly service. Yummy food. Not too expensive. I certainly recommend them!
I visited here last night with family. My sister goes to Pacific so we wanted to find some place not too expensive in between us and her.
They had been here before but this was a first to me! I had a pleasant time. We arrived and got quoted for a 5 minute wait. For the size of Forest Grove / Cornelius (this place is certainly on the border of both cities / towns), I was surprised with how busy this place was. It is a large establishment with plenty of spacious boothes, tables and bar seating. There appears to be two additional dining rooms so I believe they can accommodate large crowds.
We got sat quickly and our server was over in no time to take our drink orders. The menu selection is HUGE. They have basically everything. Appetizer, steaks, pasta, seafood, sandwiches, soups, burgers, salads and more. Even your choices of sides are plentiful- there are at least 5. I am positive you will find something to eat.
My mom, dad and I all got burgers ( there was just so much, I picked something easy) and my sister got a Caesar salad. I thought my burger was great! I got it plain ( yes, we all know I am picky) and it was tasty! The bun is like a Hawaiian roll / brioche hybrid. It isn't sweet like a Hawaiian roll but similar type of bread. The patty was flavorful and cooked perfectly. It appeared my parents enjoyed theirs too. We each got a side of fries and they do not skimp! These were some FANTASTIC fries. Perfectly cooked! My sisters salad looked good. It was huge! For dessert we got two slices of chocolate cake to split. The cake wasn't that good. Rich but dry. Oh well.
Service was standard. Our server was quick, polite and did a great job managing her workload. No complaints! There is a male server who I think his main / only job is to serve the food. He was friendly and did an impressive balancing act.
The price is also great. It was about $55 total for our meal (minus tip.) Not bad!
I would certainly recommend this place and I look forward to...
Read moreMy mother and I were very disappointed in our experience there. We are not from the area and decided to stop for breakfast. The bar was pretty full, so we decided to grab the only table and chairs in the Video Lottery Room. We kindly asked for menus because they were slammed. My mom and I are very empathetic in these situations as we have many years in the service industry as well. We waited for a server for a drink or to order...and ended up approaching the bar to put the order in. We were trying to help. Our food came out from a nice young lady. Pretty tasty breakfast, though both our biscuits were a bit overcooked and hard. No one checked to see if we needed anything else as we finished our meal. We were able to snag the bartender (different person) for a drink refill who never seemed to say anything after we requested something. Carried himself like we were bothering him. We waited again for the bill or boxes for leftovers and nothing. We played lotto to kill time and I finally went to the bar where I let the bartender know we had no service back there at all. Mind you it was 3 feet from another table outside of the Video Lottery room. Once we got our bill and fished out the dough, another server (different again) informed us that they don't provide service in the lottery room. I said that's fine, but we had dealt with 3 different people, there was no sign claiming that, and no one had the decency to tell us. All this while the young lady just kept interrupting me and didn't want to hear it. She had plenty of time to small chat with any gentleman that came in, but not serve us. She was extremely rude. We've never been there. We are not from here. Yet she wanted to blame us for their bogus practice....
Read moreThis has never been the Prime Time it was before the original location burned down. We have gone a few times to over a very long time and the food has gotten better but for the prices it still needs work. The nail in the coffin for me was this past Saturday night. There are only a few local sit down restaurants in the area so not a lot of options. We could have gone to any of them but we chose Prime Time. Its not a horribly long drive but we planned it out. It was a late dinner so I checked their posted hours online and the dining room was open until 10pm then it closes down to just the bar. We wanted to gamble a little and we had our boys so we planned on taking turns on the machines. Awesome, out the door we went. We arrived at the restaurant and parked. We walked up to the doors and were greeted by the hostess and I thought she was opening the door to let us in. That was not the case at all. She has opened the door to tell us they were slow and decided to close early. I couldn't think of anything to say so I just said that's BS and we loaded up and left. There were still patrons inside finishing their meals and drinks. I've never had that happen before anywhere. It got me thinking how they would have handled it had it been slow and was only noon. To shut the doors early shows lack of commitment to the people that give them their business and made a much more solid case for not returning. I spent the better part of the day thinking about it before writing the review. We want to support our local businesses but it sounds like it isn't reciprocal. If the restaurant isn't here to serve then why be here at all. Luckily we had time to go to Black Dog in Forest Grove and have a good meal and fit in a...
