I brought my mother here for lunch in Mother’s Day because she really enjoys the salad options and we were going to spilt a pizza and a salad. Everything was going well until we got the cash register. I had a $100 bill and was getting ready to pay with it, when the kid behind the counter said they don’t accept $100 bills. The manager was sitting at a table across front eh register, to whom the kid reached out to by saying, “ hey stew or Steven or stupid (I can’t remember his name) we don’t accept $100’s do we?”
The manager replied by saying no we don’t, we don’t accept them because there have been too many fake $100’s lately. He didn’t even look up at me or apologize for the inconvenience. I replied by saying well this is the only form of payment I have. The manger then said well that’s to bad go break it and come back, again not even looking up from his laptop at me. Never have I felt so mistreated, especially by someone who was in charge running a business. Did I mention that there were no signs anywhere mentioning they didn’t accept big bills?
This is ridiculous, how is it my fault that I have $100 bill, how is it my fault that their employees aren’t trained to recognize a fake bill? This was grossly unprofessional and frankly inconsiderate. I chose to come to your venue and to spend my money with you and you expected me to go break my bill somewhere else and come back? And you didn’t have the professionalism or consideration to come up with a solution or an apology at least? Your customer service was extremely lacking and down right offensive. I won’t be back and I’ll make sure none of my family members find their way into your facility again as well. Thanks for ruining my opinion of your...
Read moreSo I’ve ordered through Door Dash twice. The first time I would have given a 5. It was that fantastic. FYI, a pizza and a side salad cost me $30 from Door Dash and I was willing to happily order it again. Big mistake. I usually reserve reviews for positive only comments. I just can’t let this one go. This is a pizza restaurant. The most important part of any pizza is the crust. The second pizza was doughy and uncooked. I ate one piece and then looked under the rest. No browning. No rigidity. Just a doughy mess. I called just to let them know and that I would be willing to try them again. I was blown off and was thanked for my call. I truly wanted a place with this reputation to honor me and my disappointment. Instead they were too busy for me. I guess bad pizza doesn’t matter to them. I’ve decided not to give them another chance. This review was not for the sake of putting down a pretty good company. It’s simply to inform the public that if a restaurant has a specialty such as pizza or any other food they are experts in then they should care that a customer was disappointed. They did not. Thanks for reading.
Update: Wow! I was not wrong writing my review and I stand by the experience but the General Manager, Luke, reached out to me personally. Problems do arise. Ovens are only machines and they can be faulty. Employees are people and sometimes the day is not perfect. I believe in this instance it was just a perfect storm. That being said, I was so impressed by my first experience and the complete professionalism, understanding and apologies made by the staff that I will return to give MOD Pizza another try. Thank you Luke and thank you Noah and thank you MOD...
Read moreEmployee threatened to "stop being nice" because...reasons. Loved this place, won't be back.
We eat here nearly every week after our kids soccer games, have been since pre-covid... At least we used to.
Last season was tough because we had to eat outside spread apart but we kept coming because we liked the place and wanted to help support them. We have a big group, better part of 30 people including kids if everyone comes, but we all order well ahead, it's usually empty when we get there, and we sit outside whenever possible. I would be surprised if we spend less than $300 every week we have games. The last few times the same employee has been unbelievably rude, loudly making comments about how busy it is, and just generally trying to harass us.
Last week he came out and told us we couldn't lean on a table the was blocked off, which seemed stupid given we were the only people in the place and it was the table in the middle of three we were using, but we listened and tried to be polite. This week he came out and threatened to "stop being nice" (what every that means from a zit faced 19yo that's all of 5'9") because we had put our kids jackets and a couple pizza boxes on the table between us and them. I get covid precautions, and almost half the parents are doctors, nurses, our otherwise in healthcare, but this wasn't trying to comply with county guidelines this was using them as an excuse to...
