I was a regular customer at Rise . At least once a week. Usually i call my order in and Marilynn is normally the person to take my order. Today, the owner took my order over the phone. She was rude and talking over me as I was telling her what I wanted and when I was giving her my number. Which gave clear indication that she wasn't listening . She told me it would be about an hour wait but would call me if it were ready before then. I waited under the assumption that they would call whenever my food was ready, not just if it were ready before the hour. Miscommunication. Whatever. But when I mentioned this to the owner she instead decided to argue with me and say "no, I made it very clear" .....My sandwich had been done for over an hour and was definitely cold at that point. She gave me the sandwich for free, but was still being rude. After waiting TWO hours at this point to eat, I got home , and my sandwich wasn't even how i ordered it . I call rise and she tells me "I don't know what else I can do for you today". Very poor customer service . Not even from the staff, but the owner. I used to recommend this place to anyone looking for good breakfast. The food can be as good as ever, it doesn't account for poor service . I will never return here, I'll make sure to spread word of mouth about poor service, as well as review on yelp and...
Read moreWe had a party of 5 and were told a 15 minute wait to be seated. We were seated, but it took another 20 minutes for them to take our orders. As I'm writing this, we've been waiting close to an hour for our food. So close to 2 hours spent here with nothing. A different server came out and brought us one side of hashbrowns and told us "I'm bringing the rest of the food out," but the rest of the food never came. We ended up taking the single side of hashbrowns back and requested we receive them with our full meal. Why would someone bring one side of hashbrowns without the rest of our meals? And why would the server say they'll be back with our food when our food wasn't even ready? I'm extremely disappointed in the lack of service and the slowness. I understand restaurants can be busy, but there has been no communication about wait times or updates. Again, as I write this, we are sitting here without food without any sort of communication. I will not be returning. Should've just gone to IHOP.
Update: One of our party members just went to ask for an update on how long the food would be and the pregnant server he spoke to was extremely rude to him saying "it's coming out" with a poor attitude. We also spoke to another party of 2 people next to us and they've been waiting longer than we have....
