Went here with my wife on Friday. All these raving reviews and decently looking taco photos. The only reason I am giving 2 stars is because the staff was smiling and apologized for not bringing our order for over 30 mins Service: Bad on the account of the food not being brought out for over 30 minutes after the order. We'd only ordered a gringa taco and nashos. After I flagged a waitress and complained the food was brought out in a couple of minutes and they apologized for it and offered us 2 "sangrias" Place: It's a dinning hall. Nothing to add there. Not cozy or particularly pleasant to my taste, but I'm sure some people like it. Food: Terrible. Some of the least authentic and tasty "Mexican" food I'd have anywhere: USA, Colorado, Mexico. I'd lived in Mexico for 6 months so I can tell good Mexican food from mediocre. Nachos were covered in cheez wiz. No actual cheese. Not flavorful or authentic. We barely touched it. The Al pastor pork was ok though. And the salsa. Next - gringa tacos Al pastor. Again, meat ok. For some reason the tacos were covered in cheez wiz and had potato fries?! Drinks: We ordered the Friday special - sangria. We got a full of ice something with strawberry flavor that was super weak. I doubt it's an actual wine there. NOT anywhere near a decent sangria. Overall super disappointed to have wasted time, calories, money and gas on a wonderful Friday night with so many other decent places in Foco to try out or go back to.

This place is awesome! It’s out of the way, but worth the short drive. There is a small parking lot and a decent sized dining room. Dine-in and take-out are available. Order at the counter and then find a table or sit at the bar. The service is so good and they seem to do everything they can to make sure you are satisfied. We have had the nachos, street tacos, fajita tacos, and pastor tacos. All of these are amazing!! I have to admit I wish they had a good table salsa, but they give you four different options for sauce. I’ve been here twice and can’t wait to try the enchiladas next time. If you like good Mexican food that doesn’t take itself too seriously, you will love this place. They do a couple unconventional things, like put fries in the pastor tacos, but it tastes really good with them. I was surprised how much I like their fries. Great place and we will absolutely be back!

I wanted to share feedback regarding a disappointing experience I had at The Taco Stop on the evening of Thursday, June 12th.

A couple of friends and I met for dinner and drinks around 4:00 PM. We've dined at The Taco Stop several times and have always enjoyed the delicious food and exceptional service. Unfortunately, this visit did not reflect those past positive experiences.

I arrived first, followed shortly by one friend, with the last joining us around 4:20 PM. Although the restaurant was not busy when we arrived, service was a little slow—which was not an issue for us, as we weren’t in a rush. Our server, a young man with curly red hair and glasses, was excellent: friendly, attentive, and efficient. Our food arrived in a timely manner and, as always, was delicious.

The issue occurred after we had finished our meal and were sitting at the table chatting. A heavyset woman in a red t-shirt, who I later learned was the manager, approached our table and asked how much longer we planned to stay. She went on to explain that she had a waiting list, implying that we were overstaying our welcome.

This interaction was incredibly rude and unnecessary. We were not being disruptive, loud, or lingering unreasonably. We had been there just about two hours, which is a normal amount of time for a sit-down meal with friends. Additionally, there were at least three empty tables outside, two in our area, and a large one near the front entrance. Her tone made it very clear that she felt we should leave, and we were already preparing to do so.

Between the three of us, we spent over $100 and tipped our server well. We are paying, loyal customers who have supported this restaurant multiple times and have recommended it to others. We left feeling dismissed and unwelcome, and it cast a shadow over what should have been a pleasant evening.

I’ve dined everywhere from casual eateries to Michelin-starred restaurants and have never been asked to leave after a meal. This kind of treatment is unacceptable and unprofessional, especially coming from someone in a managerial role. If customers choose to wait for a table, that is their decision and part of the dining experience.

Unfortunately, due to this experience, my friends and I will not be returning to The Taco Stop anytime soon. I also won’t be recommending it to others as I have in the past. I sincerely hope upper management addresses this incident and provides proper coaching to this manager on how to handle guest interactions with respect and...

I’ve enjoyed the Taco Stop many times since a found it several months ago, especially “Taco Tuesday”! However, the last time I was there, I was informed that they changed their policy & I could no longer order the taco plate unless I ordered all different types of tacos. I was no longer welcome to pick which tacos I wanted, they all had to be different & I couldn’t just pick my the tacos that were my favorite. I didn’t want any other tacos, I wanted all my tacos to be steak, but that’s not allowed anymore. I ended up ordering my tacos a la cart & paid about $8 extra. I really enjoyed their food & drinks until they pulled that stunt. I had usually spent around $80 w/tip there. That day a couple months ago I only spend around $40 after being overcharged for the tacos because we didn’t stick around for any extra drinks. When I’m trying to find a place to eat, I think of Taco Stop & really wish they hadn’t changed their policy. It was a really bad choice to do that! I find myself writing this review instead of going back their & being disappointed & overcharged. So I just wanted to thank Taco Stop management for ruining my newest favorite restaurant!

The owner responded to my review from yesterday… Apparently you can pick whatever tacos you want, except on Taco Tuesday when you cannot. You must pick different tacos for not just your normal 3 tacos but your Taco Tuesday “free taco”. What good is a free taco if you have to choose a bunch of tacos you don’t want?? That doesn’t even make sense! Maybe if the “free” taco had to be different, but they are making you choose all 4 different tacos! I want all 4 tacos to be my favorite, not just 1 of them!!! And if a customer comes in and specifically requests all the same tacos, Taco Stop should oblige. As I stated in the beginning, they used to give me 4 of the same tacos on Taco Tuesday, but have since decided it’s not in their best interest to keep that policy, so they’ve changed it and lost me...
