Serious Texas BBQ is a Texas themed Barbecue Restaurant, our visit was on a Saturday evening and the place was not really busy. Unsurprisingly, country music was playing in the background. This establishment is counter service only and does have some outdoor seating. I really appreciate the condiment bar which features a plastic cutlery dispenser. My wife wasn’t super pumped about the soda selection (limited Coke products). They serve a variety of what I would consider to be normal Bbq entrees. They do also serve a variety of beers/margaritas. I didn’t see any Gluten-free or vegan options displayed on the menu. Also, didn’t see any kids meals. The front entrance is a double door and level (+ curb)with the parking area, they do not have a door opener for those with limited mobility. I ordered the brisket sandwich combo ($10.75). My sandwich tasted fresh and smoky and definitely wasn’t dry. I found the portion size to be satisfactory for the price. The staff was very friendly as we ordered. After I was finished eating, and even though I was hesitant, I opted to use the auto hand cleaner (blue picture) they have in the dining area. It worked really well. Pro tip, every Tuesday is Buck-A-Bone ribs and Buck-A-Beer night. Please “like” this review if it helped you in any way.

We were driving and noticed this place. We decided to give it a try since we were looking for a place to eat anyway. Upon entry, it felt like a pretty cool place. The prices seemed reasonable (especially for bbq), so we ordered. We fed our family of 5 for about $110 with beverages. The food was ready right as I paid, and we sat down to eat. It's good to point out that this location doesn't have seating for large groups to sit together (just and fyi). Most of the tables only allowed for 4 people. Regardless, we pulled up an extra chair and went to town. The food was warm, but it was pretty dry. I'm not a big sauce fan because if a protein is cooled right, it will provide its own special flavors. Anyway, the ribs, pulled pork, chicken, and sausage were dry. I also had an order or cheese potatoes, and they should he called pepper potatoes instead. Now, I'm not bashing the place. It wasn't terrible, we ate our food, and it was pleasant.

I am from Austin Texas and recently ate at the Timberline location when visiting Colorado. This is the real deal! My son and I thought it was better than any of the Bar B Que places we eat at in Texas (Rudy's, Black's, and others). The service was exceptional and Tracy was especially helpful. We felt right at home. I had the nachos and my son had the brisket, sausage, turkey, and mac n cheese. We enjoyed it so much we went to the Loveland store a couple of days later. Love the views and patio at the Loveland location. FYI-add the chipotle coleslaw to the pulled pork sandwich and you will be amazed. Photo is from Loveland location. stop in to any of their locations and enjoy!

The food is amazing, the staff is amazing, the environment is amazing and peaceful and not chaotic unlike the rest of town. All the reviews that say the food is not good are really just meanie heads. The food is really good, I could understand why Texas residents would want to be elitists and say the food is bad and not authentic ): but it is by far the best barbecue in the entire city of Fort Collins, and Fort Collins is really really…. Really big. It is extremely unfortunate that anyone would ever eat here and decide the food is bad enough to leave a bad review. If you think the food from this place is bad, YOU are the problem and YOU need to get your taste buds checked. This is some of the best food in the entire city of Fort Collins and there are sooo many restaurants in this town and none of them even come close to the amount of amazing food produced everyday that serious Texas (Colorado) BBQ on timberline road produces. I understand the confusion people from Texas have when they see “Texas” in the name and they get confused and anxious because they are not in Texas and it’s cold. But I personally have never been to Texas and would rather not, I would rather go to Colorado and eat at this BBQ joint on Timberline road as it is much closer to my home. If you have read all of this review, thank you for your time, you could’ve eaten an entire Pulled Pork sandwich in the amount of time it took you to read all this nonsense. By now you might as well just Go down to the BBQ joint on South...

Let me start by saying that I'm from Durango. Durango is where Serious Texas was born, I've been eating it since its inception as a small food truck and watched it grow and flourish. I decided to try the fort Collins location to see what it was like and of it stood up. Let's just say it did not.

The heartbeat of Serious Texas lies very much in the community. Here in durango ours are decorated with local team jerseys, hometown hero's, and vintage authentic sundries. The menu is the same as it's mostly always been. Our stores readily feel like home, and the people who work in them feel like family.

The Fort Collins location feels weird and sanitized. It's too well stylized and franchised to capture the proper spirit of the place. It takes the experience of Durango and condenses it into, well, nothing special. Also, after finding out that I'm from Durango the staff got nervous and weird. Which was interesting at best I guess.

The only good thing here, is the kids meal option. I like that, as ours doesn't have one. The food is good, but missing that piece makes it not as good as home.

If you are looking for decent barbeque by all means, stop in, get a Texas taco and a sweet tea. But if you want the magic come to Durango, where it all started.

P.s. it is downright silly to have a sandwich named the Durango that doesn't actually exist is...
