Larita's Cakes 'N More — Restaurant in Fort Dodge

Very disappointing. I've been a dedicated long time customer ordering cakes for my daughter's birthday and others every year and numerous amounts of cupcakes throughout the year. Never have I been told they do not take cake orders after 10 a.m. for a pickup anytime the next day. I called at 11a.m. for a small one layer cake with no specific time the next day for pickup. I would of gladly waited any time length for the pickup the next day, but apparently Larita's staff does not feel the same way about serving their customers as their customers do about them. Yes, the icing is good but if you value customer service and do not want to be treated as a bother calling in an order, risk being cutoff with rude staff with a large price tag and small product go to a different bakery. As one of the most expensive bakeries in Iowa for product actually received, and poor customer service, I will look elsewhere for a bakery who truly puts its...

We ordered a birthday cake for our grandmas 86th birthday. The cake smelled like wet towels left in the washer for a few days. They acted like I was not right in my head but everyone at Grandmas smelt the same thing after our Aunt brought it to our attention. They ended up refunding us our money and I felt bad so I got a dozen of cookies and that was a bigger mistake. The cookies were cute as ever but when you go to bite into them they are hard as a brick. Grandma could not even bite into it.
