As a monthly visitor of this restaurant, tonight I was very let down. I can say that this is the first time that I have been let down here, but that doesn't forgive it. As we were seated I noticed that there was maybe 25 people in the restaurant (half had looked to already be eating), I counted 6 waitresses so I easily assumed that we would be in and out relatively easy. I ordered a fried chicken salad, my fiance ordered a Cobb salad and asked for fried chicken instead of grilled, our waitress was quick to say that the grilled and fried chicken are cooked the same way.. so after she checked with someone else she said it was ok to do the fried. When an ice water was ordered we got an ice tea instead. Assuming that this was the extent of our misfortune, we hungrily awaited a delicious salad. And we waited. It took 45 minutes to receive two salads, people who came in behind us had already been served their meals, and for some reason these salads took longer to be made than the amazing looking meals our neighbors were eating. Now the food was great, as was the service from the other waitresses (not sure where ours was). Our waitress Aubreigh did return occasionally, but took 10 minutes to fill drinks and even tried to refill on that she had just filled. I am fair in my reviews, see any other I have given to other restaurants, so this is not a lash out for rough service. Olde Boston's needs to address this issue as the restaurant wasn't close to full and there was...
Read moreTerrible waitress and she was the manager!!
Went for lunch with my wife and we ordered the spin dip and each ordered a steak sandwich meal with fries, med-rare steak. Spin dip was good. Sandwiches were brought out well done. We waited for our waitress to come back by the table but eventually had to flag down another waitress and ask to speak to ours. When our waitress returned we told her we had ordered medium-rare for our steak and both were clearly over cooked and showed her. She asked “do you want them remade” and of course we did. She took both of our entire plates.. side of fries and all. She eventually returned with the steak sandwiches (no fries) and left. We figured maybe the fries were still coming, nope. When I was finally able to ask about our fries she said oh you want fries? I said yeah they are included right and you took them. she said yeah but you ate most of them. (I ate maybe 4 while waiting for her to actually return to check on our table) I then asked to talk to whoever the manager is because she was clearly not working out helping us. SHE WAS THE MANAGER!!! E.A. is her initials. She could actually care less about any customer there at it shows. Food was fine when cooked right, service absolutely terrible. This isn’t the first time I have had terrible service here and the food isn’t good enough to actually make me want to ever...
Read moreI do not live in Fort Dodge and I have only been to Olde Boston's once. Their food is great- I highly recommend it. The issue I had when I went there was our waitress- Kelly. We had a large party of 8 people. Whenever our waitress would come to the table it was like she inconvenienced to get us things. Most of our glasses were left empty for the remainder of dinner. She never brought us a salad (but she sure charged us for it!) I have to say the best part of our experience with Kelly was the fact that when she was done being inconvenienced by us she would go complain about us to the bar tender. The bar was literally 4 feet from our table... so yeah we heard everything. I would not and will not return to Olde Boston's because of the TERRIBLE service. Their waitress lost...
