Smitty's Wings Sistrunk — Restaurant in Fort Lauderdale

I’ve heard about this restaurant from TikTok and thought I’d visit while here in Fort Lauderdale. Man was I disappointed 😔! This is a small business with a small parking area so in order to park we had to go across the street to a field to park, that wasn’t the issue. The issue was customer service and food quality. There was absolutely no greeting when we finally were addressed. Then when we were asked what we needed I told her that a party of four wanted to dine in and it didn’t matter whether it was inside or outside. She takes us to a table with 3 chairs and left. Making another patron next to us offer us the 4th seat for our party of four. Now it gives hole in the wall vibes so if you like to listen to music while your eat some wings it’s a nice vibe. Problem wasn’t the loud music, but when placing an order then looking at the waitresses handheld to ensure your order is correct because the music is too loud to hear and still end up with a wrong order is beyond me!! We ordered two 10pcs so that we could sample four flavors as you are only allowed to get two. Ordered Smitty’s sauce, lemon pepper, garlic Parmesan and honey, with a large fry and two Strawberry Hennessy drinks. Drinks come out and was completely watered down, didn’t taste any alcohol more like a watered down pineapple juice. Food comes and the dipping sauce we asked for which was blue cheese and ranch came way after along with the fries and she still brought out the wrong sauces. I asked the waitress which wings were the Smitty as they don’t say what flavor concoction it’s supposed to be and she tells me the wings I’m eating are something completely different than what I ordered. She had to then pull the handheld out to confirm and said she would bring us out the missing wings….let’s say we waited for another 25 minutes no wings and no waitress 😒. The wings were wayyyy over cooked they were basically half dehydrated wings and the others lacked flavor. We had to literally walk up to her to pay our bill because she never came back to our table. The vibes given here is that they care more about turning up and partying than they do customer service and food quantity. Review Update: 3rd time must be the charm. This was an amazing night from beginning to end. I did a review on this establishment over a year ago gave it a 3.5 due to lack of customer service h consistency but after tonight, what an amazing turn around. 10/10 highly recommended ! The manager Carl was absolutely fantastic for taking the time out of his busy night to actually show care concern and compassion for the customer's experience and my experience this time around definitely will bring me back for many times to come Thank you again to the entire staff for such a wonderful evening you now have a returning customer.

(Review 10-22-2022) The only good thing about this restaurant is the entertainment and ambience. I've try this restaurant during the day when it was not so busy and my last experience was on a Friday night, and it was beyond busy ! Both times I've come to this establishment your waitresses lack customer service and real patients. First visit was a 3/5 experience due to food not coming out at the same time together. Then it happened again! We were a party of 8 and everyone's food came out at different times. The last order didn't come out until almost 10 minutes minutes after everyone got there food and was half way done. Drinks came out simultaneously as well. This restaurant needs a serious revamp on organization or hire more qualified waitresses, you need to prioritize your walk-ins, your call ins versus the people sitting there who should be taking care of immediately for taking the time out to come to drive to your establishment. I don't know if I'll be back for a third time to see if anything has improved hopefully this review will help your location with the disorganization. Please just take this as constructive criticism because the same people who feel this way just don't return. You may not care or not but as a business...

Businesses should be mindful that first impressions are still important. I, a first time patron of this establishment, walked in, the young lady behind the register, with the drapes on her eyes, was busy looking down at her phone and did not bother to look up to greet me. I found my own menu, decided what I wanted, then walked back over to the cash register to place my order. The young lady was still looking down at her phone and did not even realize that there was a customer standing in front of her. There was a young man standing near the window where the food comes out, and he saw me standing there waiting and gestured for me to hold on. He called her name and told her to look up. She looked up, did not smile, and did not greet me - I guess she didn't want to come to work. I placed my order and was disappointed when I received my "jumbo" wings. Nothing about these wings were jumbo - they were medium small. I got large fries, garlic parmesan, lemon pepper hot, and Thai chili..... I was not impressed. The fries portion was small for a "large" $5 price tag. All of the wings were dry and needed more sauce. The garlic parmesan was covered in jar flavored mined garlic, the lemon pepper hot tasted like crystal's hot sauce; the best was the Thai chili but that barely had enough sauce to cover the wings. I will say, the blue cheese was amazing, and so were the fries (get them without salt). If you're in the mood for great fries and blue cheese, this is the spot. But the next time I'm in the mood for jumbo wings, great fries, and great blue cheese, I'm going over to Wings Plus on Prospect, where the wings are actually jumbo and the customer service...
