The service and beers - 5 stars. A very diverse beer list which will likely please all tastes pallets. The bartenders are always kind and insightful. The atmosphere - 1 star. Every single time I’ve been here (after 5PM; prime time), there’s children running around like it’s a playground, with no regard to the personal space of other patrons. Normally, I’d associate this behavior with poor parenting (children in a bar, lack of accountability, etc.), but evidently this behavior is acceptable. There are plenty of other breweries in the region where this behavior is not accepted. Due to (1) the consistent lack of control in a place where adults can otherwise leave the little ones with a babysitter and escape the ruckus for some away time, and (2) the multiple attempts of reassessment, I rate this establishment in...

Checked out the Braxton Barrel House on opening night and it’s a great place. The crowd showed up and the bartenders handled it great; the line moved fast and drinks kept flowing. Being opening night it was pretty crowded, inside the seating seemed ok and there was room for people to flow in and out to get to the bar. Outside on the patio there was also nice seating but it was packed. Once the crowd dies off a little it’ll be a perfect place to relax and grab a few beers. Parking was not an issue (though I saw people doing it, I’d be cautious parking in surround business lots, there was room in the main lot to the side). Also, please take note that the cops in that area love to write alcohol related tickets; if you’re drinking do not drive. Uber is cheap...

Braxton Barrel House in Covington, KY, was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. This place offers a great atmosphere with a fantastic selection of beers, and the vibe is casual and welcoming. We tried a few of their barrel-aged brews, and they did not disappoint—smooth, flavorful, and really well-crafted.

The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, eager to share their recommendations and give us a taste before we decided. The space itself is spacious and comfortable, perfect for enjoying a cold one with friends or just relaxing.

Overall, Braxton Barrel House is a must-visit if you're in the area. It was one of the best stops of our trip, and I’m definitely looking forward to coming back next time...

Location and staff were kind and helpful but very stressed because of the wait. Atmosphere was great but turnover of tables not being cleaned off quickly and lack of staff is definitely an issue as workers try to keep up. NEED MENU POSTED as the tremendous wait time to order is due solely to no signage, total lack of menu availability and staff overwhelmed with questions of what is offered and how much food items are. Line was horrendous and could easily be avoided by simply adding signage. First time for us. May be our last. Way too long of wait for little amount of food served. Line was all the way out of the door!

Barrel House is a cozy Braxton location in Ft. Mitchel. Look around and most of the decor is made from bourbon staves. The original concept was to feature barrel aged beers, and you will find some gems on tap. However, you will find classic flavors like Storm and Garage;Sour and IPA experimentals from Labs; and a variety of Vive seltzer flavors. They also have wine and some liquor. It is a great place if you are undecided about what you want to drink or feel adventurous.
