If I could give zero stars, I would. I ordered a custom cake that was supposed to be turquoise with sunflowers. I scheduled pick up for the day before the party. What she tried to give me was a white cake with white roses. She didn't even write down the design I requested for a custom cake order - who does that?! No apology, just "oops!" and I was told to come back the next day to pick up a new cake. When I did, it looked like it was decorated by a child. The "sunflowers" weren't even sunflowers. They looked like open, rotten banana peels. The top tier of the cake wasn't centered on the bottom tier and the cake had collapsed and was lopsided. She had used the same cake from the day before and you could still see the white icing through the turquoise. She wasn't there when I picked up the cake and I had no choice but to pay $76 for it and take it directly to the party. It was embarrassing to serve to our guests. When I called the next day to discuss a refund she informed me that since we took the cake she wouldn't give a refund. She said that what I should've done was refuse the cake and go buy one at Kroger. Then she hung up on me and will no longer take my calls. Of course, if she had handed me this atrocious cake the day before the party - when it was supposed to be ready - I would've had time to find an alternative cake. Elizabeth should not be offering custom cakes when she's not qualified to make them. And after being in business for 4 weeks she has yet to learn anything about customer service. This was the most unprofessional transaction I have ever experienced. I simply cannot believe that anyone would run a business this way. Do yourself a favor an do not ever order a custom cake from Little...
Read moreWhile the cake looked great at first glance and was certainly great decoration, we realized quickly upon picking up that part of the cake was missing, discolored and damaged. Not knowing what happened, we called the bakery only to be told they “knew water had been leaked, and they took a paper towel to dry off the condensation from the refrigerator that has dropped down the cake.” When asked why they didn’t share this news with us upon picking up, Liz’s reply was that “they didn’t know what else to do and they are having trouble with their new refrigerators they had to buy because their business is growing so fast.” While we certainly understood things happen, I can’t believe they would charge someone full price for a cake, load it into theIr car and then when called to inquire share that they knew the damage was done with no remedy except to bring it back to fix after sharing we were driving from the bakery to the party an hour away. Both of our parents own small businesses and know that things happen, but to produce a product without sharing known damage and not offering to make it right seems...
Read moreOrdered a Minnie cake for a Birthday Party. I had seen photos on Facebook and thought all the cakes from Flour Baked Goods looked so creative and decorative. I figured they must have the ability to make some really nice cakes. The 2nd and 3rd photos are what I sent for what I wanted. The 1st photo is what I received. This cake cost $70. My husband and I were so disappointed, not impressed like how we thought we'd be reacting. Clearly some work was put into the cake. The request was for flowers on top and a drizzle. This is sooooo plain.
I asked for the color to be as her backdrop and they did do that, but again $70 is too much for what was received and a disappointment for what we asked. They offered a $10 credit in the next purchase.
Was told they had a wedding cake to do so we had limited time to get back to the bakery and there was an ice storm previously so the roads were bad.
The free Friday cakes surprisingly are more...
