I sat at the counter because I was having lunch by myself. my server Was Rachel and she attentive and very sweet.I happen to love BLT Sandwiches. It was probably one of the less expensive things on the restaurant. I must mention here, they had sausage and gravy for half order for it. I think four or five dollars. I almost ordered it because I love sausage and gravy too, but settle for the BLT. The BLT was $9.99. And I expected the BLT with a pickle if I was lucky. I got more than a BLT and a pickle. Then she asked me if I wanted french fries coleslaw or soup. I was surprise for $9.99. I chose to get the soup, cream of chicken, they also had a bean soup. It was amazing with lots of pieces of tender chicken. I am sure it was homemade. it was a delicious meal in of itself. I ordered an iced tea and it comes in a 20 ounce glass and it was fresh iced tea. Such a lovely experience. as I sat at the counter, I could hear all the girls talking as they’re coming in out the kitchen carrying their orders. the girls all get along and they help each other. I wanted some more hot water for my soup. And then I need another napkin because I made a mess. And when I asked another girl, besides Rachel, they were delighted to heil. It was just was such a nice experience. This is a great restaurant. You can tell this is a local restaurant. It was full of local people it. this is not a tourist spot, but if you were tourist reading this, I suggest highly you go to this restaurant. It’s a taste of old Florida. The prices are very reasonable and it’s...
Read moreI use to frequent this place. It was my go to in the morning when I was off to work. 6 years and $100 a week. A new server started and when the Owner Dawn and her husband Bob were not close this service trashed talked both of them! I got up from my seat at the counter went over and said to it " They are the owners and if you can't do things their way you should resign and get a job where you don't have to deal with a boss or the public". Trash talking employers usually winds up being fired. Said it server went back and told Dawn I was threatening her, cussing at her and God knows what else! I've worked in a few restaurants over the years and never seen such a Blatant Disrespect by an it server who should know her role and abide by the owners rules. Dawn cashed me out and asked What was said by it server so I told her. Then I told her what I said. Seems since they were short staffed Dawn took her side and asked me not to come back in. That was fine with me but I told the wait staff there the it server just cost you all your $15 tip each time I came in. Hope you all can survive because it server is going to run off good tippers and customers. I know the building owner and have for years and spoke with him about the current renters. He said I have to keep a tenant in there but I can raise the rent and show up suddenly and inspect the place. So if you go to this place and the it server is your waitress I would tell you to not tip her because she doesn't know or understand...
Read moreJust found the place today. Just grabbed a bagel egg and cheese and home fries. I must say. That was the best egg sandwich I've had since leaving Connecticut 8 years ago. I will be making this a breakfast place. Excellent. And the customer service was just as good. See you soon Biggy's!
Well, last weekend I made my second visit. It's was afternoon, my girlfriend wanted lunch, but I wanted breakfast. So Biggy's Place wass the choice. I went with one of the specials of the day. Chicken n' Waffles. That was one of the best waffles I've had in a while. Lightly crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle. They used their own chicken fingers which were crispy and very tender. Both of these together were delicious. I will say this though, instead of the syrup they could have served with a sweet and spicy sauce which I will be bringing with me the next time and offering the owner a taste. I think it would be a great seller. My other have got the cheeseburger. Which was cooked perfect and very juicy. Good bun. And the fries were pretty good too. I think what I like most about this place is its not a chain. It's not all frozen food. And the fact that I've seen the owner and who I believe to be his wife there every time I've gone. Even for the take out twice. Very friendly place. It's my new "Hometown" restaurant. Keep up the good work Biggy's. I hope you'll like the sauce I bring in. It's gonna be homemade too....
