It was our first time having their food. Ive had shawarmas and pitas many times in many cities ive lived in like chicago and Milwaukee, seattle and tacoma, los angeles...So people have been talking about how good this place is, and after driving by a hundred times i decided to knock it off my list. Meanwhile within a few blocks there are some better modern fastbfood chains like Culvers, Zaxbys ,chick fillA, and Famous daves, as well as some cheaper ones like McDonald's, KfC and wendys.
Our experience was strange frombthe beginning. Right before 8pm i pulled into the parking lot and the front door was open so i walked inside. It was empty both inside and at the outdoor area where you can smoke. I mean empty, not even an employee. Theres no menu board or no menus out anywhere. I noticed 2 people talking talking in the packing lot at the only other car in the lot, right in front, so i walked toward them and the woman smiled at me. After speaking speaking to the man i realized he worked there and he said he would be right in.
He got me a menu and everything looked and sounded amazing. I ordered hummus, a lamb shawarma platter, and a vegetable and cheese pita. I had stickershock at $48, but i figured it would be alot of food.
Well the togo order was done very fast, and we took it home and opened everything. The hummus was amazing, better than anything they sell at any store around here, although about 4x the price. However the pita bread was so stale like it had been mixrowaved 3 to 4 times previously.
I ate a few pieces because the hummus was so good, but my jaw hurt until the next morning. The pita was basically inedible. Shawarma had very little lamb in it, and the lamb overcooked, dry, rubbery, and and luke warm. The whole thing was very small, and impossible to eat because of the stale leathery bread. The vegetable and cheese wrap was basically a side salad with good cheese overpriced and unsatisfying....
Read moreDear Manager,
My wife and I were in your establishment yesterday 6/23/2022 around 6:00pm. The whole meal costs $120. With this kind of money spent and this being the first time we’ve eaten at your establishment I would expect that you’d want to go out of your way to make a future returning customer. However, this was not the case. Your manager wasn’t very helpful and neither was the server. We ended up spending $240 because your waitress gave us the incorrect number for Zelle. We ended up sending $120 to a random person and the bank won’t refund us and your manager’s response was, “Sorry, just go get cash next door.” The first number we were given didn’t work. The second number we were given by the waitress didn’t work either. The third number we verified with her three times (she even went to verify it with the manager) before we sent. This third time was incorrect. This was the number we sent to a random person won’t give us our mover back and the bank won’t refund it. After, hours of trying to fumble with Zelle (which we never use) the manager comes in and gives us a different number. The waitress then says we typed it in wrong after confirming with her 3 times! However, this number didn’t work either. The manager, the proceeds to tell us, “oh well, we can’t do anything for you. Only thing you can do is go get cash at the arcade casino next door.” He didn’t offer to refund us the money you guys had us send to the wrong number. At this point I ask that you please refund us the $120.00 because this was clearly your mistake. Because you claim your credit card machines were down at the time and you required us to download a money app and provided us with the wrong phone number. I hope that, as a reputable, establishment that you could do the right thing and own up to your mistake and refund us the extra $120 you had us send to a random...
Read moreMaybe my expectations were too high based on other reviews but slow, inattentive service, small portions and overpriced hookah.
We were seated promptly on the outside patio but then it took over 20 minutes to get anyone to come to the table.
We wanted to smoke a hookah but when we asked for a shisha menu they didn't have one and when we asked what flavors they had we were told they have many. This lead to having to pick a flavor off the top of our heads and having to ask if they had it. We settled in watermelon mint. The hookah took forever to come out. We are provided disposable tips, and 3 coals with no wind cover or heat management. We were seated outside on a windy night so we knew the coals would burn quickly but figured they just bring us more.
I ordered the chicken schwarma sandwich combo but they had no diet soda so he offered a chai tea instead. My husband ordered the lamb kofta schwarma sandwich. Food took a long time and portions were very small for the price. They tasted ok but we've had much better.
As expected the hookah coals only lasted about 35 minutes in the wind without a shield. I had to go inside to find the server and ask for more coals only to find him flirting with his girlfriend behind the counter. This explains why we clearly weren't getting any service. I asked for more coals he said no problem. 20 minutes later my husband went back in to ask about the coals and he brought them out about 3 minutes after that.
The biggest surprise was the bill?! We were charged $26.99 for a single bowl of shisha!! Plus and additional $2.99 for the extra coals - which not only did we have to chase down and ask for twice but without a wind cover our first coals only lasted 35 minutes. You should get 60-90 mines from a bowl with 3 coals. Total rip off. We were sticker shocked to say the least and won't...
