I was a first thing customer. The Bistro Lo Mein was delicious and the General Tso’s chicken were also good. Now don’t recommend the Bistro fried rice and the ribs . The waitress came over to ask how was everything and I let her know that the ribs wasn’t tender, and that the fried rice didn’t have any taste to it. She basically looked at me and walked off still charge me for something that was barely eaten and then told me well it wasn’t my fault I did my job never once told the waitress that she did not do her job that was not my complaint that was not even a concern informed the young lady I never said these things to you I’m informing you about the food that we did not taste tasteful . Never was told that they didn’t food back . The waitress tried to make me feel that it was my fault. I believe whenever a customer comes into your establishment you should let them know that you don’t take food back. And she could have offered would like something else instead . To accommodate the customer. I will not ever go back because that fact that she said it’s not her fault and tried to make me feel it was my fault “ your Oder it so your stuck with the bill” I have NEVER IN my entire life encounter such rudeness when it comes to some food. I truly understand that you’re running a business but at the same time you explain to the customer that you do not do returns or you are basically stuck with the bill whatever you order to be explain to the customer so they know why OK upfront well whatever order if I don’t like it. I’m still stuck with it. Because basically they’re not gonna accommodate you. If something is not tasteful. I really wanted to go in there and knock over everything in that place. I’m very disappointed and upset at the fact that I was treated with disrespect. I thank God my mother raised me better than that . I give the two items that I stated was good . I the other food 0 No taste for the rice , for the ribs dry and tough. Not...
Read morePositive first.....you are not expecting from the outside what awaits you on the inside. Looks like a whole in the wall outside, but inside, it is very nicely renovated and decorated in a more modern contemporary style. It looks clean, too. We went there with a group of six for lunch on Thursday. We sat down at 12 pm. and shortly after the place filled up. We ordered a whole bunch of little appetizers for the whole table to share. It took a while for service to take our order, and the appetizers came not all at once...first two, then there was a pause, and then the rest came. The main course took a while till it was served too. We were not asked if we would like some more water, sodas, or anything else while we were waiting. As a matter of fact, our waitress never attended our table...I had to call and ask for her when we needed something. When we finished our lunch, again our waitress did not come to our table, passed it several times, and attended other customers but not us. I finally had to get up, because we had to go back to work, even if we brought plenty of time with us, and got us the containers to pack up our leftovers and ask for the check. When I got the check, I had to notice they added 18% = over US$ 30.00 gratitude to it. I get it, we were a group of six, but hey, keep it real we did not get the service they were charging us for. I asked to take it off my check and was referred to the manager who started to argue with me. Then, the two waitresses started to pipe in again even if they told me before to talk to the manager. I finally got my US $ 30 back, and the waitress started to argue with me again. The food was mediocre and not worth accepting bad or no service for it....oh, I almost forgot... we found a long black hair in one of the dishes as well. So the place itself is nice and clean, but the food and service are not worth...
Read moreGinger Bistro has been a round for a bit now. I don't even think I was writing reviews the first time we went. I can tell you though, that the first time we went, it was awful. But, they had just started and they only had an idea of what they wanted to be as a restaurant. After overhearing that the owners changed (a bit ago) we decided to come back and try their food, at the behest of a friend of course. So we did.
Dim Sum! A dish that originated in the Cantonese culture in China has finally made its way here and in a perfect state. These dumplings actually have 1,000 different types and after coming here, I wish I could try them all. Soup dumplings to steam buns, wheat dumplings to rice noodle rolls. No Ginger Bistro doesn't carry them all but who would? Instead, their selection is a 'top favorites' type list and I suggest you try them all. (Not all at once though)
The entree Really good! They had some issues because I wanted duck but they didn't have it. They said we could wait 45 minutes BUT it wasn't worth it. So we got orange chicken and sweet and sour chicken. My wife got a steaming plate of short ribs and we loved our meals.
The cons Single serve drinks. I mean, a can of sprite? Keeping costs low, I get it. If I want a refill, then I'll have to buy another one but fountain drinks have been around since forever so switch please!
No duck. Though I was looking forward to it, it wasn't a big deal. Maybe next time. But I know why your here, it's not to read this review, but to look at the pictures, haha. So here you go.
[EDIT] We had to come back for the duck so as of 1/9, we still like the place. Here...
