Buffet City 6-23-24 Ok we got here around 4:30 on Sunday and the place was packed. The lobby was full of people waiting to get in. We got our beeper and waited less than 10 minutes to get seated. The place was clean and neat for being so packed. This place has such a large variety of food it will blow your mind. I would suggest you go there hungry as you’re going to overeat. I do believe they seem to specialize in Seafood such as Shrimp hot or cold, Clams, Crawdads, Oyster on the Half Shell, and Crab Leg Clusters. They also had simple items like Ham, Beef and Steak Strips. Sides would be Mashed Potatoes and Gravy or French Fries. There was a made-to-order counter where they would cook some food fresh and how you liked. There were lots of Chinese food like Pork and Shrimp Fried Rice, Egg Rolls and some kind of noodles just to name a few. There was a large Cantaloupe, Water Mellon, and Salad area. Up in the front I seen a Sushi and Desert area. For what you paid it’s a lot of food to choose from. I would suggest you take along some Old Bay if you like it on your Shrimp as I did not see any there. I tried the cold Shrimp with and without the Cocktail sauce, and it was a little bland without. It needed the Cocktail sauce or Old Bay or both. The Crab Leg Clusters were large, and they were good dipped in butter. Most of the food we had there was good for a buffet. I loved the cold Shrimp as they were very large. The hot shrimp was not made with Old Bay, but they were good. You need to try this place specialty if you like Seafood. There is so much to choose from. This place gets full and it’s loud in there with kids running around at times. Service was good and she kept our drinks filled. Her English was very hard to understand at times. I only mention a few food items, but they have way too many to name them all. They also serve beer there if you want. If your a senior they do give discounts. I give this place 4 out of 5 stars because the food was not that bad and for the large selection they had. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Follow Me On FB For More Reviews Gulf Coast Terry

Let me get straight to the point... hot meals 4.7 🌟, dessert 0.0 🌟 I'm not big on dining at buffet restaurants, but the family wanted me to check this place out. I will say, this place was busy! We waited about 15 min to be seated. Eva was our server and was friendly and attentive. To me, the highlight is the Hibachi station. Pick your own ingredients, choose what sauces for seasoning, and watch them cook your meal - you pick the portions, and they'll cook it. The hot foods were great and they offer plenty variety for the whole family. They do have a lot of fried foods though, which I couldn't really take advantage of since I don't eat much fried food. I did try a few fried items here and there to rate the taste - they do have flavor but not something I would sit down and enjoy. I was looking forward to the blue crabs, which people were waiting on because they were flying off the buffet line. However, they were fried, so I had to pass on it. Later I jumped to the dessert station which I saw something that looked like flan but as I got closer, it was Egg Tart. I will say, if you're a fan of Egg Tart, you'd probably enjoy it - for me, it was a hard pass. Other dessert options were dry, tasted old and just didn't finish the night well. I had to compensate with some fruits, like oranges, honeydew and pineapple. They weren't as sweet (ripe) as I was hoping for. They do have ice cream cups, candies, pudding and such for the kids (or big kids) but if you're not a sweets kind of person, then this won't phase you. I will advise you to be careful how you mix your food consumption. Later that night, I regretted trying out some of the fried stuff and my wife was regretting some of her mixed selections as well. Overall, for $17.49 per adult and alittle less for kids, it's a bargain, but just not a place I would frequent.

My pregnant wife and I along with 3 other family members decided to eat here. My wife got the steamed mussels, but as she started to eat one she saw something that did not look even remotely like a mussel part. We quickly alerted the waiter, but she grabbed the fork out of her hand and disappeared. We all were left thinking she was going to notify her manager, but not even one person showed up to our table. My sister googled mussel parasites out of curiosity, and exactly what we found popped up. We alerted the same waitress, but no help was given to us not even an apology. I was furious, so I went to the front desk and asked to talk to the manager. Her response left me speechless. The manager responded to me saying it was a completely normal thing. The manager even claimed to have ran restaurants for 20 years, and this has occurred dozens of times. Her advice for me after I asked her what to do if my wife got sick was to not come to buffets and eat seafood. After hearing that statement, I returned to the table feeling defeated. All of us were swallowed with anxiety for my wife and baby, because it was an actual parasite in the food. We left because we did not want to cause commotion, but everybody in my family felt nauseous and disgusted. What was even more gross was how this establishment handled it. The waitress did not say anything to us after, and even avoided our table completely. The manager’s response was unacceptable. All in all, this place is not safe to eat from unless you are brave enough to have parasites in your food… if so then come here!

We got in town late and went there at 950, and they close at 1030. No biggie because it's a buffet and quick. Our youngest only wanted sushi and the online pics show a large spread of sushi, due to gi issues, so that's why I picked there. The lady brought us to a side room with tables but I stopped her because the sushi bar was almost empty and if they didn't have any more then we were gonna leave. She didn't speak English so she went to get someone else. 15 mins later, we finally get a table after the new person finally came out and eventually said they will make her some sushi if it's not on the bar. We all got some food but it was sparse and what was left looked old and dried out but whatever. I got a second plate and also a plate with some desserts on it so they could start closing down the buffet. I had it next to my plate of food on the table and the server came by with the check asking if I could pay now so they could shut down their register and I did. After signing the slip she left with it and I noticed my new dessert plate was gone. After a couple of minutes I saw her again and tried asking what happened to my new untouched plate of dessert, and after a few minutes of trying to get her to understand what I was saying she said,

sorry I take it, I thought you were finished with it...

even though it was untouched and looked like it was plated nice and neatly like a regular restaurant dessert...

She said oh you want melon? No. You want orange? No. I wanted what was on my plate, that's what I picked out.

She said ohh sorry no have any more dessert now. So sorry. You want orange take with you? NO. I don't want any fruit.

I gave a $10 tip on the credit card slip before I noticed that my plate was gone, so I went to the register to have them remove the tip, but she said they already ran it through but she can give me a refund back on my card. That took about 10 more minutes... I would've left the tip on there but we only saw a server once, and that was to take an empty plate away, and didn't even get a refill on any of our drinks. $3 for one small cup, times 5 (1 parent, 4 kids 10 to 15). $15 for one little drink each! And I was charged $3 even though I had water... Seems like they really only cared about getting their closing work all done before they closed, and nothing about service.

Don't waste your time here. Tons of better choices...

I would definitely not recommend this place. Frankly I’m surprised how it has a 4.4 rating on goggle! Have any of these people ever eaten at a good buffet before? We are here on vacation and I really wanted to go to a buffet and pushed my husband to go here, but I really regret it.

#1 it’s not very clean #2 a lot of foods aren’t marked. Like any of the salad dressings or sushi to name two. Most of the Asian dishes were, which was appreciated, but cmon, you can label salad dressing or sushi? #3 why don’t they have hand sanitizers along where the seating or food is? They had it at the entrance. Have it closer so people can actually use it because people are gross and touch the tongs and set the tongs on top of the food (as in the dirty handles touching the food). #4 didn’t offer boosters for kids (not a huge complaint but annoying cuz lots of families go to buffets) #5 thought the desserts could save the day, but honestly they were all pretty much disappointing. The ice cream cups they have are straight up gross! Where’s the soft serve?! #6 the food itself was ok at best. Almost nothing was very tasty. My husbands only comment was “the food was cooked”. Just disappointing. #7 another things that ultimately dropped this from a 3 to a 2 star review. I was in the bathroom waiting behind 2 others waiting to go when an employee walked out of one of the stalls. She proceeded to walk out of the bathroom without washing her hands!!!! We had already eaten at this point, but that was absolutely disgusting!! Seriously, everyone should be washing their hands! Especially in food service! Then a young child who was in the next stall also walked out without washing their hands (case in point why people are gross and there should be more hand sanitizer for guests to use-oh and how people are gross and will not wash their hands after the bathroom and will then go touch the tongs and set them on top of the food-thing about it, it’s disgusting)! #8 it’s been 5 hours since we ate there and mine and my sons stomachs have been hurting pretty bad. I’m worried maybe it’s the sushi I ate there, but honestly it could have been anything. Just such a disappointing...
