This is one of THOSE places. You know what I'm talking about. One of those local hole in the wall places that just serves the most immaculately delicious food you've ever eaten. Wicked Good Deli served me quite possibly the best sub sandwich I've ever eaten in my life. It's even better than a Pub Sub.
I had the Wicked Famous Steak Bomb. On their website they claim it's their best seller and after eating it, I can see why. It's so flavorful, so delicious, so freshly made that you can see the literal steam coming off of it as you take your first bite. I nearly passed out when that flavor hit my tongue. And the fries? Crispy, salty, crunchy and pairs very well with the Sub. Definitely spend the extra $1 to get them, they are so worth it.
Despite the shady area it's located in, the inside offers a very nice, welcoming atmosphere. The customer service wasn't perfect but to be fair to the cashier lady, this WAS the lunch rush and she probably assumed I was a regular that knew the entire menu. Tap to pay is not available which isn't a big deal but it is a slight inconvenience. And lastly, do know that when the restaurant is busy and they're cooking that God-Tier food back there, that steam will inevitably pervade the dining area. I don't personally mind it, it kind of adds to the atmosphere of the restaurant, but some might be turned off by that.
All in all though, Wicked Good Deli is true to its name. I don't just recommend you try it, I demand that you do. Support this local family owned business and eat the best sandwich...
Read moreI was in town for the week to attend Red Sox Spring Training and this gem became my go to lunch spot! The front desk staff at the hotel I was staying at highly recommended this deli and I was so happy they did. Although long lines at times, the staff is really friendly, professional and the line moves along surpisingly swift without compromising the quality of the food. I'm a steak and potatoes guy and I was instantly drawn to their 14" Steak and Cheese. I have tried Steak and Cheese subs all over the country including Boston, New York and Philadelphia and these guys at Wicked Good do not disappoint! Their steak is cooked just right- I had them 4 times and they were not once overcooked. The steak had just the right amount of flavor, always hot with just the right amount of american cheese. My girlfriend opted for a small turkey sub with swiss cheese and she equally enjoyed her experience. They seemed to do a real good job keeping up with the flow of customers and getting a clean table was never an issue for us. I have experienced less than desirable dining areas from establishments that had this type of lunch rush constantly. My girlfriend also pointed out the cleanliness of the ladies room. I''ll be sure to be back next time I am visiting Fort...
Read moreWicked Good Deli 1-15-25 Stopped by to grab some lunch around 11:30 on Monday. This place was not that full. If you want fancy don’t stop here. It has a bunch of tables inside and 2 tables outside. Inside is very basic with concrete unfinished Floors and Ceiling tiles with water marks that should have been replaced years ago. The dirty air filter should be at least covered up. I did notice masking tape on some of the molding, so I believe they are doing some improvements. We walked up the counter and ordered a Special of the day which was 1/2 lb. of Pastrami on Rye with Honey Mustard and chips for 9.99 I added French Fries for a 1.50 extra. My wife ordered a Small BLT Sub and Chips for 6.99. One thing on the menu is they will let you build your own sandwich. We met the owner Romanico which was very friendly and talkative. Our food came out in a reasonable time. All our food was hot and very good. My Pastrami Sandwich on Rye was packed full, and the Mustard kicked it up a notch. French Fries were hot and done perfect. My wife’s BLT was hot, very good and she loved the bread. These were solid sandwiches for sure. I would have given this place 5 stars, but the interior needs improved. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Follow Me On FB For More...
