We booked this hotel through the mystery dinner train show. We got it as a group deal for buying the tickets with the train show and it included a whole night hotel stay. The check-in time was supposed to be at 3:00 p.m. we ended up showing up at 3:30 p.m. when we arrived we were informed that our room was not ready and they were not going to be able to tell us what time our room would be available. We were supposed to be going to the train show at 5:00 and we had to still shower and get ready for that we had driven 2 hours away to come to this event. When I was speaking with the manager about the issue with my room she was very unprofessional she was very rude never once apologized for the issue of us not having a room to go to. They explained that they were overbooked and that they would let us know when our room would be available. There is also a young child running around in the back behind the service counter. Which I found to be very unprofessional as I'm trying to figure out where we were going to sleep for the night. Thank goodness my sister also booked a room so we were able to go into her room and shower and get ready for the night. When we went to go shower and her king suite there was only two towels for the entire stay and there was no shampoo in the shower or conditioner body wash even though there were pumps for them they were completely empty. At 4:45 we went to go ask about our room because we still haven't heard anything and they were finally able to get us a room. When we walked into our room the first thing we noticed was that it smelled like smoke and it had a very musty suffocating smell. We booked a non-smoking king suite and we received a smoking two queen bedroom. We also had issues with cleanliness in the room there was we don't even know something smeared all over the bathroom walls on the floor underneath the counter the carpets didn't seem to have been vacuumed we were stepping in all kinds of things. It was definitely not cleaned. The next morning I asked for the corporate office phone number because I realized I was not going to get anywhere with the actual manager on duty. I was given an attitude about asking for the phone number and when I did call they told me to email the manager and that they would take care of it. The only thing I got back from the general manager was a apology and that they hope we would try them again which I can assure you we will never stay at another Marriott again. We were extremely disappointed and how we were treated and how they took care of the situation I suggest looking for a different hotel I promise you will be glad that you did not stay...

Juan was very friendly and did a fantastic job of setting up for our meeting. He provided useful information about the projector, lights, and environmental controls without prompting.
The Chef came in personally to speak to us about serving lunch and offered to be flexible with our lunch time if needed; the food was plentiful and tasty.
The two ladies at the desk (and later at the Bistro) as well as the ladies who brought lunch and our afternoon snacks were all warm, friendly, helpful, and went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect.
At one point I made the unusual request for a broomstick (an essential part of our safe lifting training). No one batted and eye, but went straight to work to find me something that I could use for my training session. The gentleman said, "I didn't have a broomstick, but perhaps this length of plastic pipe would work". His dedication to finding a solution, rather than just saying he did not have what I asked for is a fine example of going above and beyond.
I was also quite impressed with the helpfulness of one of the housekeepers. I was returning to my room and she stopped to ask if I needed anything such as extra towels or toiletries. I had some difficulties with my room card and she stopped what she was doing and waited to make sure I was able to get into my room before continuing what she was doing.
I am sure there were others who made our meeting successful and my stay pleasant whom I did not get a chance to meet or to call out specifically. Please thank them also. Everyone that I interacted with – without exception – was among the friendliest and most helpful staff I have encountered. What ever you are doing to encourage this level of service...
Read moreI was excited to find such a nice, clean hotel so conveniently located to where we were needing to be while in S FL. It had the perfect room available for our needs which was a 2 queen w/ sofa sleeper suite. When making the reservation it asked for approx arrival time. I put 8:30pm. We had an unexpected stop to make and didn't arrive until 8:50pm. They had a trainee at the front desk who explained that they no longer had the room we reserved available and had to give us a king with a sleeper sofa. This was a bit inconvenient for the guests we had traveling with us. The change in rooms created some confusion to our new room number which he had to chase my husband down out of the lobby to correct and then later find us at the elevator after we unloaded to correct it back to the first number he gave. Once we finally get to the room and started to get our children settled for the night I began to put some items in the fridge that I needed to keep cold. Only it was frozen up and not working. My husband called the desk and they said our options were to unplug it, let it thaw and restart it or carry our stuff down to the front desk refrigerator to store them. Both were rather inconvenient options but I had my 10 year old son unplug it and begin melting the ice out of it with the blow dryer the room provided. It turned on after we lugged it to the tub to drain all the melted ice so I put my items in there and went to bed, hoping it would keep cool during the night and not be spoiled in the morning. It did cool which was a blessing. I guess it was just a bit crazy for a one night stay. The location was wonderful, the room was clean and comfortable and the price was good. It would have been more helpful to have had the room we had reserved to begin with but our experience was overall good and would not prevent me from making reservations...
