Cafe Brazil Restaurant Fort Myers — Restaurant in Fort Myers

A few weeks ago I went to this restaurant and bought lunch, that was my first time at this restaurant. The waitress quoted a 25 minute wait time and the food arrived 15 minutes late. The restaurant was practically empty. there were only 5 people dinning in at that time. I thought to myself, "why on earth would my order arrive late when there is practically no one here?" I told myself "no big deal, certain factors may have impacted the order arriving a late." I am willing to forgive the delay and even come here again."

A few days later I decided to try the restaurant again. Between full time school and working a full time job I barely had time to prepare food that day. So I said I will go to the restaurant around the corner because it is the closest restaurant from my house. I came inside and after about 7 minutes someone came up to the table, took my order and brought some drinks. The waitress quoted a 25 minute wait time and though I was practically starving I said to myself "you can be a little patient, you won't die from hunger for waiting 25 minutes."

For the sake of brevity, I will summarize the rest of the story. I waited 1 hour and 7 minutes which most people would never do that but I believe in giving second and third chances. After waiting over an hour, I told the waiter at the counter that I have to go because I have to get back to work. I said in a calm tone "I cannot wait this long for food, this is outrageous.Please bill me only for the drinks. The waiter ended up charging me for the entire order $37.55 when I had only had 2 drinks.

God as my witness, I speak the truth and do not lie. Please see the image below from my mobile bank if you have doubts. My advice is to look elsewhere unless you would like an experience as I had, having only drinks which totaled no more than $7 and they charged me for an entire order that I did not receive. Found this little hidden gem after visiting the manatees. Bright and colorful inside. Greeted immediately by friendly servers! Our server was very helpful as it was our first time having Brazilian food, she answered our questions and made suggestions! We even had live music while we were there! Super fun and the good was delicious, portions were huge and reasonably priced for the quality food we received! We tried a Coxinha for an appetizer. We ordered one to share. It was a chicken stuffing wrapped in potato, breaded and deep fried. It was DELICIOUS! Turns out we ate it wrong lol! We had one to share and ate it with a fork and knife, turns out you order your own and eat it with your hands wrapped in a napkin..who knew? We tried the shrimp Bobo which was a yucca purée with shrimp in a delicious sauce/gravy served with rice and potato sticks. This was delicious! The potato sticks were like shoe string potatoes you get out of a candy at the grocery store, but eaten with the rice and sauce added just the right amount of salt and crunch! We also tried the Famous Cafe Brazil Skewer of Meat. This monster of a dish comes on a giant skewer. It has an entire Top Sirloin Steak cooked to perfection, Calabresa smoked sausage and a maple bacon wrapped chicken breast. It is served with 2 sides, we had the fried yucca and black beans. This was a huge amount of food and was absolutely delicious! We would definitely stop there again if in the area to try...

Here at Cafe Brazil Fort Myers again with friends and family. The Moquecas was fantastic! Steak picanha my cousin had was tender and delicious. The Kids plates also made the kids day. My wife had the Tilapia and she said Amazing flavor. She is from Uruguai and for her to say Amazing is because we always will came back to this restaurant. And we always give more than the recommended Tips because the service and the food is so good! Honestly!

Cozy restaurant, very good on taste and priced right. Will be back here! People has to realize that chicken does not have to be cooked until it is firm; the Chicken Fricasse I ordered came wonderfully prepared, very juicy and with the most delicious white cheese reduction on top. My wife had the Espeto de Churrasco and being from Uruguay we can say that this place has great people with skills on their kitchen. Very well done. Kids had the MacCheese with Fries and Kids Café Brazil with Chicken. Again, the chicken was very well prepared and cooked to perfection. We really enjoyed this restaurant. Nothing fancy here but the prices are right and you get lots of food with your order. We will be back here tomorrow and every time we visit Southwest Florida again. Maybe US Copa América, to cheer...
