Arby's, Port Orange location at the corner of Dunlawton and Ridgewood Ave was my guilty pleasure trip. I've had a RAGING LOVE AFFAIR with their CINNAMON RAISIN BISCUITS for past decade or more. Being 1st introduced at the 1st location back then, at the south-eastern corner of N.Nova Rd and what's now known as LPGA Blvd. Directly in front of one of my previous FOOD HEAVENS (Woody's BBQ...that another story for another time. I digress). The Arby's '"CRB'" or cinnamon raisin biscuits, are the lard/real butter thick, soft yet chewy homemade (your grandma & the old church mothers made for Sundays) kind of biscuits with generous ribbons of tasty cinnamon, 1/2 a hand palm of plump raisins, and drenched with the thick sweet & gooey vanilla cream icing. *Best when 5 minutes or less out of the oven. Plus the old fashioned southern sweet tea is a winner also. YES, they serve breakfast lunch & dinner sandwiches, sides and regular drink options. BUT I DROVE 15 MILES FOR THIS SLICE OF HEAVEN. My service and server was great. Friendly over the speaker, couldn't stop laughing as I gushed over my CRB love & desire. Smiling & laughing, as I pulled to drive thru window, asking desperately, (pleading actually) WHEN will the 1.2 year old sign planted on the Daytona Beach News Journal headquarters, of the soon opening restuarant would materialize. And, because she replied she didn't know, I added 2 more boxes of my LOVE for the road. P.S. The building was clean and tidy on the outside and the inside from my vehicle sightline was clean as well. And, YES, I pulled into a parking space in front of Madelyn 's Fine Furnishings to devour 1 of my 5 boxes of Cinnamon Raisin Biscuits. Sorry for the incomplete non-informative review as I normally. I'm woman in a long distance LOVE AFFAIR with Cinnamon Raisin Biscuits...
Read moreThey were quick with my order. However they charge $2 for water cups. The same price as a water bottle... decision is from corporate or manager... they should have smaller clear plastic water cups if they're concerned about sip stealing.
Hell the most I've seen for a water cup til now was 50cents. That happened ONCE at a fast food restaurant.
The food wasn't bad. It was fresh. Average to above average quality for a fast food restaurant. Kinda hard to not like Arby's curly fries when they are fresh.
Not the first time I've tried coming here either... I think they may toy with their hours. The first time they closed 60 minutes earlier than the Google posted times. The second time I could swear the time they closed at was the same as the Google posted time (unchanged since last visit).
Additionally I should add the time when they were "closed" I could still hear them talking about orders that I can only assume we're for truckers, app purchases, or drive through orders.
Overall I'd say consider wendys first due to the service issues ive experienced and their water policy (god help you of you have a health condition lest they charge you 2 bucks when you are about to pass out)...
but if you have a hankering for roast beef, gyro, or deli style sandwiches, or of course the famous curly fries then this is the place (the only one on Okeechobee road).
Basically I don't recommend, but I would go again if that was the...
Read moreThe service is horrible! Horrible! This evening (6:00-owner to check camera) tried to go through the drive thru to place an order and no response. There is another car at the window so I figured the person is processing that order and will take my order afterwards. The car leaves; I am waiting for someone to take my order and I know that the individual can see clearly that there is another car in the drive thru based on how this drive thru is designed. Plus I can see the individual is looking out the window and see a car. I wait another 5 minutes then I proceed to the window. Once I get to the window this individual has the nastiest attitude and proceeded to start the conversation with a lie about why she hadn’t taken my order. I left without ordering because I rather spend my money elsewhere for better service than to a place with rude staff. To the owner; first this person should not interact with customers directly. They need to be assigned a position where their contact with customers is very limited if any contact. Second, customer training for staff goes a long way towards happy...
