A Magical First Experience — Thank You, Sky High Comics & Games!
Just wanted to take a moment to shout out Sky High Comics & Games for giving my 8-year-old son a memory he'll never forget. He just started collecting Pokémon cards after his cousin gifted him his first five, and with some gift money in hand, he was beyond excited to buy his first packs.
From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with genuine warmth. The staff were incredibly friendly, patient, and welcoming — the kind of people you hope to meet when introducing your child to something new. They took the time to explain the world of collecting to him, answered all his questions with such enthusiasm, and truly made him feel like a part of the community.
He picked out three packs with wide-eyed joy. But then came the part that made this day unforgettable: as we were about to leave, they gifted him a free card holder and even a rare card — just out of kindness. My son’s face lit up like it was Eid and his birthday all rolled into one.
And if that wasn’t enough — a police officer who happened to be in the store overheard that this was his first Pokémon trip… and gifted him a card too. 💛
Walking out, my son turned to me and said with complete wonder:
“I can’t believe what just happened… this is the best day of my life.”
I believe in the goodness of people — and today, that belief was beautifully reaffirmed. The team at Sky High Comics & Games has not only earned our loyalty but our heartfelt appreciation.
To anyone reading this: go. Visit them. Support them. Bring your kids. You won’t just be walking into a store — you’ll be stepping into a space filled with passion, kindness, and a real love for what they do.
Thank you, Sky High — you made magic today.

Read moreHeard about this place opening up from my friends and I've come by to two Yu-Gi-Oh! weeklies at this point and have thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Would highly recommend anyone to come check it out if they love TCGs as they stock the big three (Magic, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh!). It's a big store with lots of space and plenty of tables to play card games in with a fully stocked vending machine and a clean and friendly atmosphere.
They also have a really cool lounge area near the comic book section where you can play classic games on their well-kept retro systems.
My one gripe is that some of the prices for booster boxes in Yu-Gi-Oh! are a little higher than what other stores offer, but the prices for individual booster packs and singles are relatively reasonable.
Hoping to see more card games being stocked (One Piece comes to mind...) and more competitive prices...
Read moreIf you play yugioh, they sell zero yugioh products outside of individual cards from their tcg shop site and they often run on their own time. People who play yugioh often run tier zero for any event, if you want a single tournament pack for $5 I guess this is the place for you. The owner is super nice and seems to care, but tragically also livestreams the store for card events without notifying people. They also were selling the gold Boxes for 2x msrp, I don’t think they WANT to do this but when Walmart sells them for half the price down the street it becomes brutally hard to support. Also this shop is not kid friendly in any way shape or form, people running legitment ahego(hentai) duel mats for play when kids are running...
