My Wild Ride at McDonald’s: A Review
Let me set the scene: I pulled into McDonald’s expecting fries, a burger, and maybe a little convenience. What I got was a surreal experience that left me questioning how this place was even operational.
First, the entire right side of the restaurant was blocked off like it was housing a top-secret Big Mac formula. Turns out, the restrooms were “Out of Order,” but instead of just closing the bathrooms, they barricaded the entire area like a no-go zone. It was as if McDonald’s decided, “If you can’t pee, you don’t deserve to sit over here either.”
Then came the drink situation. Signs were plastered everywhere saying, “No coffee, no tea, no iced drinks.” I couldn’t help but wonder—are they out of water? How does a restaurant even function without water? Were they washing dishes with Sprite? Rinsing the lettuce in Diet Coke? And, the big question: did the employees wash their hands?!
The ambiance was… unmatched. Every table had its own unique trash sculpture—a burger wrapper here, a half-empty fry container there. It was like dining in an art installation titled “Post-Lunch Chaos.” The crown jewel of the decor was a man literally asleep in the middle of the restaurant, shoes off, one shoe proudly on display in the center of the room like it was waiting to be auctioned off.
But here’s the kicker: despite all the chaos, they were still serving food. How, exactly, does a restaurant legally operate without water? If this is how things were in the dining area, I shudder to think about what was happening behind the counter.
All in all, it was less of a dining experience and more of a journey into the unknown. Five stars for entertainment value, zero stars for sanitation. If you’re looking for fries with a side of existential crisis, this McDonald’s is the place for you. But if you value cleanliness or running water… maybe try...
Read moreI came with my family as I was passing through town. I made an order and picked it up at the counter. I asked for 6 cups of water. The employee stated she can sell me a cup and then she can give me water. I then responded with you are really charging me for water??? She stated the company is charging for water not me. I just work here. She then pointed out the Assistant General Manager. I asked to speak with her. I didnt get her name. I asked if the policy is correct. She stated with a rude glare. You have to pay for the cup. I the explained to her all I want is water. She then told me that they are charging because people keep getting soda instead of water. I told her mam, all I want is 6 cups of water.
I have been in the restaurant business for 18 years. And I was in the fast food industry for 10 of those years. In the state of Florida you must provide the customer with water upon request. And not charge for it. Not only that. This has been the rudest experience that I have ever encountered in any McDonalds. I am really questioning if I should return to any of your restaurants. And to make matters worse .. My wife went to use the restroom and it was dirty. She then went to the counter to let them know that there was no more toilet paper in the ladys bathroom. The employee said we just need to shut the doors.
Is this how you run your operations? I would like a call back to discuss this visit and see if this new policy for denying water to customers in company wide or...
Read moreWhat are the odds? I live 300 miles from this mcdonalds but happen to visit here twice in the last three weeks. First time lady night manager was rude as all get out! I walk up to order and she barley made eye contact and said while pointing to touch screen order from there . I replied I’m unfamiliar on how to use it and i have a special order; she turned her back and ignored me , I repeatedly called to her saying ma’am ma’am and she walked into the back room. Minutes later as i stand there a younger black man came from back room and took my order. Later she found out and started yelling at the guy for taking my order. I was totally disgusted and thought to call corporate but decided not to thinking she’s having a bad day give her some slack. Three weeks later I stop at the same mcdonalds as they are connected to a pilot gas station so i get gas and go inside to order and get the same lady . Guy in front is getting his change from her as she had just taken his order. Then looks at me and points to the touch screen and i told her I’ve never used it can you just take my order like the other guy she just helped. And guess what she ignored me as I repeated can you please take my order and she walked away i said you’re ignoring me! What’s your name she replied Mary. I left and talked with the people at the gas station they said they get complaints from mcdonald alot!!!!!!!! I travel all over the country never seen such rudeness at any fast food especially...
