Moya Jamaican Restaurant & Cafe — Restaurant in Fort Pierce

Just moved up here from Pompano wear there was plenty of Jamaican restaurants and this is up to par with the good ones. I'm not sure what happened with the people that have low reviews because my first time going will bring me back many many times.

I'm a chicken man so I got my car chicken and it came with a delicious nice size serving of cornbread as a side. There was plenty of chicken and it fell right off the bone. It was spice nicely and was very hot I went right at lunch which is pretty much the best time to go to authentic Jamaican restaurants as they cook a pot usually for the day.

I came here for the first time because I am new in the area. Want curry chicken very bad. I went inside and ask for a plate of curry chicken without the rice. I told the lady behind the counter that the price did not matter. She told me that they do not sell only meat. I told her i would pay the price of the whole dinner and she was very very rude and said we do not sell just meat. Her attitude was as if she did not care that I would not take the plate with the rice on it. I have not been in a place of business with such rude attitude. I would hope she was not the owner. I ordered the oxtail large size. The food was very tasty. Spices were perfect. Rice and peas and even the veg had a good taste. I ordered the large size expecting that I would get more oxtails but what I got was a regular serving of oxtails with a very large serving of rice and peas and there was no gravy on the rice so it ended a little dry. I thought it was overpriced for the amount of actual meat that you get for the money.
