Dixie Cream Donuts — Restaurant in Fort Pierce

I “placed an order” the day before for the following day, the woman who came out of the back to take it, didn’t even take my phone number info or anything. I had to repeat the pick up time a few times. Thank GOD I called 1 hour and 40 minutes prior to confirm my pick up. The woman who answered, Lacy, someone different than who I placed my initial order with, tells me I didn’t place a particular order when I did. Then tells me what I requested wasn’t put aside and they sold out, in what world is this acceptable. Thank goodness I didn’t pay yesterday. As stunned as I was the woman then tells me I don’t have to come get them, they can put them back on the shelves. I don’t know if it’s lack of good work ethics, the area so they believe they can treat people any way or what, but this entire process was horrible. This is what happens when you attempt to support certain companies over bigger household and worldwide companies.

F/U I called back to speak to the manager and he stated Lacy, had been working there for 20 years and could say...

Why have you all written reviews!?! And who are the one's that could possibly give this place 1 star? You mad?

First off, you other five star people...thanks for giving away the best donut place in Fort Pierce. Hopefully, no one else reads these or we are all screwed. You know that if you don't show up at 6:30 you're likely to miss out on the cinnamon rolls and the apple turnovers. So why tell others?

Second, for those who have written a one star review. I didn't even bother to read what you wrote because there is no reason for it to be on this page. These donuts are amazing. The donut holes are to die for (when I eat them, I feel quite alive).

So please, if you are in the area and see this establishment on Google maps...stay away! Please. For the sake of locals. We need donuts in the morning and you might as well just go to Dunkin Donuts on US1 next...

There are few gems left to remind us of how good food, service, and unique "Hole-In-The-Wall" places used to be, in this world of franchises and walk-in, order off the board, pick up your food and dispense your own beverage and find your own seat... but I digress. "DIXIE CREAM" (not to be confused with a similar name) still makes a doughnut that is like 'Biting into a cloud'! And a Bearclaw that you will be sharing with 3 other people, or else nibbling on it all-day. 'BAKERS DOZEN'? At Dixie Cream that is 14! (7 in a 1/2 Bakers Dozen) Try explaining that to your kids in 'New Math'? They open EARLY, and close when sold-out for the day (if you want to drop in around 10am you may have a very limited selection, if any). Support local businesses and take a box with you to share.
