Daylight Donuts — Restaurant in Fort Scott

My kids and I love this place! We eat here often for special birthday breakfasts, late-running school mornings, and just because days. Delicious food, fast and friendly service, and usually there's a parking spot near the entrance for a quick grab and go treat. The owner has also donated free donut coupons to my library's summer reading program two years in a row!

My kids love the frosted cake donuts, caramel long johns, and bavarian creme or strawberry creme filled donuts and cold orange juice or Kool-Aid Jammers. I love the (reheated so they're warm) bacon or sausage croissant or biscuit sandwiches and hot cappuccino. They were unbelievably busy and the service was so beyond slow by the time it was my turn to order they were out of what I wanted so I substituted with what I normally get to get all the way out to the car to find out they got my order wrong and I had to go back in stand in line once again and requested they fix my order and since there was no receipt given I had to repay and then by the time I got back out to the car my food was cold now don't get me wrong I love this little place but they need to hire more people and make more food and if they have anything left over they can donate it to the beacon or the police/fire dept....

The people are always friendly and the food is fresh and delicious. It's a must stop place to go. We've even gotten out of town friends addicted to their variety of donuts.
