Hot Wok Chinese Buffet — Restaurant in Fort Scott

We arrived there about 5:45 on July 4th, and there were only 5 other people there. This restaurant is always open on holidays so we decided it was time to return and try it out. By the time we were finished, there were a large number of diners. We used to go here quite a while back, but the quality was not consistent. Today made up for the bad times in the past.

They have a small buffet, but it has enough substance and variety for the normal customer. They have all of the regular food you would want at a Chinese buffet. All of it was refilled as soon as it got low. It was very good and met all of our expectations.

We have been here a couple of times now. In short, the food is mediocre and the prices are fairly high for what you get.

As point of comparison, up in the city, where things are generally more expensive, there is a place we would go to with a much bigger selection of food that tasted as good or better for about the same price or less for our family.

There are not a lot of options for food in Fort Scott, which comes with a small town. But I think, for us, we will be choosing Lotus over Hot Wok for our local Chinese craving. For though it is not a buffet, where Hot Wok is the only buffet in town, Lotus is less expensive.

I believe this has to be the worst Chinese food I've ever ate my entire life don't get me wrong they have plenty on there for the small variety that they do have they do put a lot but it's just not good and almost everything contains basil or oregano which to me makes no sense this is not Italian food it's Chinese food why are y'all using those two ingredients anyway?
