McDonald's — Restaurant in Fort Smith

Unfortunately, I'll only give 4 stars on service and atmosphere for today's visit. This is due to the fact that I walked into the store to pick up my mobile order, and no one was there to help me. Moreover, my two bags were just sitting at the pickup station unattended. Most people would probably be grateful for not having to make small talk while retrieving their food. However, I feel like McDonald's isn't really the best place to exercise the honor system.

No one checked my receipt or attempted to verify that the order was actually mine. I simply walked in, saw the sign for the pickup area, grabbed my bags, waited for someone to approach, and then left again when no one ever did. I could have been anyone for all they knew. This is not just a problem for me but for them also. If someone else had taken my food, they would've had to remake it and would've lost money on it. Overall, it just didn't feel like a secure system.

As for the atmosphere, I have 4 stars simply because it was a McDonald's. It was just like all the other, hundreds of McDonald's stores I've been to. The same decor, the same uniforms, the same kind of grumpy old manager yelling at the same kind of stoned teenage kid in the back for throwing food around. I just wish these stores would at least try to be a little more unique so it wouldn't leave me feeling like I had just walked into the same place for the millionth time, only in a different location.

I would love to tell you all that the service was good, but again, I really don't know since no one ever even talked to me.

Crazy that there is still not a zero star option. I mean no one expects much when you go to fast food but this place is the nastiest most worthless “restaurant” ever. They are always slow and constantly screw up the order so nothing new on that front but this trip was the by far the worst, new low. So I ordered two triple cheeseburgers and one had a hair on it and the other one looked like it had been used to clean the grease traps or at least fell in it and was just picked back up and assembled. Even the bun was covered in black greasy grime as well. One of the most revolting things I’ve ever tasted. One of the double cheeseburgers also had a hair in it, but at least it had the correct amount of patties on it. The fries were cold of course after waiting on the order. Also wasn’t given a receipt with the order. Also called 20 times to try and resolve it with out the trip but no answer so we drove back anyways. Even the drive through cashier who took three tries to explain that I only needed one milkshake was disgusted and shocked when I opened my burger and showed her. I did get a full refund even though half was fine. I guess… 👀DO NOT EAT HERE! I doubt the food is clean and safe, there’s no telling what those morons are doing back there to your food. Hopefully they fire who ever the cooks were, if they are that worthless to not even be able to count to three and produce such a disgusting burger they have no business in food industry, gonna get someone sick. This is one of the McDonald's trying no service kiosks. Instead of taking 1 minute giving our order to a hopefully friendly person behind the counter we spent 5 minutes navigating the menu on the kiosk. It is not like they did not have the staff to take our order, they were in the back talking and laughing. We sat down and a polite young man brought out our food. The nuggets were hot but the fries were lukewarm to room temperature so I took them back and since nobody is at the counter I had to yell to get someone's attention. They did bring out hot fries and apologized. When we left being there are no employees at the counter or in the dining area there was nobody to say, "Thank you for coming". I guess service at McDonald's is gone and dead. Fallen to the wayside like so many other businesses. I do know that will be the last visit I will make to go inside a McDonald's. McDonald's if service means so little to you, just do away with the dining room and make drive thru restaurants only....
