I went to KFC in Ft Washington MD recently in August 2025. I was trying to place a order at the window via a on-line order I placed and didn't pay for it because I thought if I gave them the order number they could pull it up and I could pay for it. The Cashier told me she couldn't find my order by my name and didn't want the order number. She told me to pull to the side & a staff member could help me in 10 minutes. So, I said just forget that on-line order, I'll just place it at the window. So, I drove up and wanted to place the order of $15 dollars so I could get the special of a Free 8 piece bucket of chicken. She was asking again about my previous on-line order and I just told her to forget about it and just wanted to place the order at the window. She than call over her either supervisor or manager who again was talking about my previous order. She said unless I paid for it on-line that was the only way to find it. So, I said ok, I want to just place a order and forget the other one. She asked me want I wanted, I couldn't remember the name of the 5 piece chicken meal and that is when got very unprofessional by this supervisor or manager. The Cashier was standing directly behind this manager, so, while trying to place my order she got sarcastic with me because I couldn't remember the name of the chicken meal by saying the name of it that's listed on the Menu Board, I said ok it's on the website and she began rolling her eyes the entire time she was speaking to me. I told I don't appreciate you rolling your eyes at me and since you got a attitude allow the lady who was taking my order before to take my order. She kept rolling her eyes and I asked her several times to allow the young cashier to take my order. She than said to me are you my supervisor, I said no, but, I am the customer. I finally got upset and a few not so nice stuff and drove off. I called to report it and asked for a copy of my complaint, I never got it. I also submitted a complaint online and never heard back about my compliant. So, I not buying anything from KFC anymore. I used to go there to get my chicken but not anymore. Read moreThe worst service ever. If I could give a zero I would. I had The Misfortune of ordering from this KFC on September 15th 2024. I placed my order online and paid for it through the KFC app. My order was supposed to be ready a little after 5:00 p.m. and I got there a little after 6:00 p.m. I went through the drive-thru first, and the young lady proceeded to hand me the wrong order. When I told her it was the wrong order, she questioned me, and tried to tell me I had the wrong location, keeping in mind we order from this location all the time. In an effort to help clear things up, I showed her my confirmation # in the application on my phone. She asked me to pull up in front of the drive-thru but I came inside instead to avoid blocking drive-thru traffic. When I came inside, the young lady tried to subtly imply that somehow my order belongs to someone else with the same name . I showed the confirmation in the app again, showing her that I paid for everything and even gave them the order number. They proceeded to reluctantly put my order together. While they were putting my order together, I observed how they were handling the orders in general , and there seemed to be very little coordination in the way they handed orders off to people. It was pure chaos. When they finally put my order together, the young lady just put two bags on the counter and walked away without even looking or asking for anyones name, so I'm more than positive they handed my original order out to someone else. Management really needs to go in there and train these folks on customer service and how to better manage the orders, because most of them didn't seem to have a clue. Read moreJust left this KFC and once again was disappointed from the lack of good customer service. While I love the food at KFC 99% of my drive-thru visits always end in disappointment for some of the following issues: •No greeting such as "Hello" by the cashier - the only thing said is "$14.95". •No "thank you" or anything - just hands the bag out the drive-thru window without a word. •Always at least one item missing whether it's food/drink, utensils, straw or napkins. rarely an apology - they just hand me the missing item in silence.
This KFC location just opened and it has been an issue every time. I am confused about the type of training provided because this was my experience at another location that I frequented often - near work. I rarely write negative reviews - I just keep taking it, but I am at my wits end with KFC and the appearance of not caring by many members of their team. Who doesn't say "Hello" or "thank you" to their customers? Rather, dead silence during the entire transaction... wow! KFC, please do better with the manners and missing items. I do not recall seeing an order screen, so perhaps orders should be repeated to avoid problems at the window. I rarely go online to give unsolicited reviews... so this means I am really frustrated. The food is awesome, which is why I continue to put up with the madness. I hope KFC finds this information helpful, so their team can understand the importance of good customer...
