If you’re a burger lover and haven't yet made your way to Double Up Burger, drop what you're doing and go now. I had one of the best burger experiences I’ve had in a long time, and I can’t stop thinking about it!
From the moment I walked in, the vibe was warm and welcoming. The owners were there and took the time to greet guests and chat with me. They were so personable, you could tell they genuinely care about their craft and the people they serve.
Let’s talk food. First, the Waygu smash burgers are nothing short of perfection. The patty was crispy on the edges, juicy on the inside, and bursting with flavor. Every bite was a savory symphony. The chopped cheese was a game-changer—so good that it transported me straight back to my hometown of NYC. You know what I mean if you’ve had an authentic chopped cheese. It wasn’t just a nostalgic bite; it was done right.
It’s clear this place is a labor of love for the owners, and it shows in every bite. Double Up Burger delivers whether you're a burger aficionado or just someone who wants a good meal. I’ll definitely be back—and I’m already looking forward to...
Read more5 stars for excellent service and tasty food! My husband and I returned home today from 20+hrs of travel, and we were hungry. I ordered delivery through the website. We got 2 wagyu chopped cheese and the loaded fries. There was an issue with toast tabs delivery process so I called the restaurant to check on order. Everyone was pleasant and easy to talk to. Even though I was calling with a problem, the restaurant actively listened and the manager immediately offered a solution to deliver my food himself. It was refreshing to have such great customer-centric service in our community. My food arrived shortly after and the gentleman actually apologized for running into traffic. I appreciated the extra effort taken to correct Toast tab’s error.
As for the food: Everything was delicious, well seasoned, neatly packaged, and the portions were great. The sub reheated well. I haven’t reheated the loaded fries but they were really good as is. Nothing was greasy or dry. It was all very good.
I would be happy to...
Read moreI'm a huge fan of gourmet burgers and prefer Bison meat. However, as a Fort Washington native, I was excited to learn about this spot serving up Wagyu burgers. For those complaining about prices - Wagyu beef is not cheap! Also, my burger was $18, which is right on par with other burgers I get. So the pricing isn't bad.
As for what I thought, the burger was fantastic! I asked for no cheese and still received cheese. However, the burger was packed with lots of flavor and seasoned just right. I'm not usually a big fan of smash burgers because they can be a bit dry (to me). However, this is among the best smash burgers I've ever had.
My only knock - the fries were average. My preference are handcut fries. There was nothing special about these fries, but the star of the show is the burger. That's why people should come here.
There's so much potential in Fort Washington, but the food scene has been greatly disappointing. I will definitely be supporting...
