This particular location, Coventry Fort Wayne, has a long-standing history of having problems. Firstly, they have a high overturn rate due to management issues. Now management issues, what types exactly? Management has allowed their "friends" into positions that they are and we're never qualified for. If you're not qualified for any other position in the building they will promote you to shift manager and then manager because that's the only way they can keep you in the building. Example, a server that was known to allow dine and dash as long as she was left her tips was kept there and promoted to shift manager because she could help with paperwork that was supposed to be done by the managers whom would rather take naps and leave the building to do whatever else they wanted to do. Management has made certain H.O.H employees far more responsible than any other employee in the entire building, including management. (H.O.H. heart of house aka Kitchen). Example, there is an employee whom has worked for BWW for 16 years, is well under paid (BWW has not given this employee proper raises through the years, no benefits, no PTO, no incentive outside of this particular employees commitment to their employment. This particular employee knows more about the inventory than any of the management, and was held responsible for doing the truck orders for years. Also, being held responsible for putting the trucks away on their own, and instructed that even if they came to put the truck away they could not clock in until a specific time due to any possible overtime and/or the labor cost percentage. (If they arrived at 6:30 am work completed for a minimum of 1.5-2 hours before allowed to clock in, if clocked in and received OT told possible firing) Servers/bartenders/cashiers are allowed to sit in booths, stand/sit in office, stand in server station, sit in bar, or in the kitchen on their cellphone with management aware or involved. They do the least amount of work when it comes to cleaning, have to be told by others to clean and stock bathrooms. While they are hanging out or on their phones they have been noticed to ignore customers with management aware. Managers spend 80-90% of their time sitting in the office on their phone, watching YouTube, napping, hanging out, or eating. Managers do not clean, nor do they require anyone outside of bartenders and h.o.h, unless an inspection is coming per the schedule that they are made aware of. Garbage has been left inside the building after closing, ovens have been left on, warmers left on, fryers left on, doors left unlocked, garbage cans left outside of the building filled with trash, cutting boards that certainly haven't been cleaned, behind fryers rarely cleaned, dirty dishes left in sink, h.o.h items left scattered not being put back after cleaning, water leaking from ceiling in walk in storage unit that has went on for a minimum of 8 years, raw chicken breasts and tenders that have been on the line being left in cooler when it is supposed to be thrown out at end of night, and the list goes on. Managers allow their "friends" more hours to spend on their phones or to hangout while the opener as described above is left to come in the morning to put the restaurant back in order before anyone else arrives. They over schedule and force others to have their hours cut so their "friends" can be there. Managers are allowed to arrive late repeatedly without consequences as they have full access to adjustments to their time in. There is a reason this particular location is on its 5th General Manager in one year. Employees who have been loyal to the company are quitting more rapidly than before, and as they say it falls from the top. Food quality has went down dramatically over the last year, particularly after 330pm. H.O.H members are not trained at all, and are left to do things however they want. Wraps have a few pieces of lettuce if your lucky. Burgers are not seasoned, buns not toasted properly. Boneless wings are tiny and hard, sometimes not even warm. Salad...
Read moreFirst off, we walked in and stood at the non busy lobby with many workers making eye contact but not acknowledging us. We sat here and waited 30 minutes for our food. Which is explainable, if they were busy which they are not. We have been out of drinks for about 45 minutes. She gave us our bill 5 minutes after our food and said “when you are ready”. Also we wanted to split checks and she didn’t ask us and gave us a single check. We are thirsty and the waitress gave us a lot of eye contact and didn’t even ask us. Sat and talked to their coworkers and were on their phone. We haven’t touched our food for 34 minutes. The person is lucky that one of the party is leaving a tip.
Update: waitress has made eye contact many times and still walked right by. We have been sitting for at least 40 minutes if not more just waiting for our waitress to come back and even check on us. Someone who we believe is the manager or GM has made eye contact with us and walked away many times as well. Finally I flagged him down to speak with him and he seemed totally unfazed. Was respectful but didn’t seem to care very much. We told him we had just wanted a split check and he was very understanding and apologized multiple times before going to speak with said waitress. He did give us a discount which was appreciated. But I’m more concerned about the fact that this waitress thought it was okay to treat us with such disrespect. Our waitress came back and asked what we needed. I said we needed a split check. I told her what was on what order and then she proceeded to say, one second, walk away, come back just to ask once again what was on what order. We had four items total. It wasn’t complicated or “too much to ask”. I finally just said to put it all on one check because I was so sick of her disrespect. She grabbed the card out of my hand and took it and walked away without saying a word. When she came back to give us our receipt she slammed it on the table and walked away once again without saying a word. I would’ve understood it more if they were busy, but the restaurant wasn’t even at half capacity. And even then, when you walk onto the floor of your job you don’t let your personal problems affect the way you speak to your customers. I understand that everyone has off days, but treating your customers in such a way as that is completely unacceptable. Going to a restaurant isn’t just about the food you eat and the company you have. The service is half of it. Our entire time there we were frustrated with the outright disrespect we received. I’m a person that hardly ever complains, but this was absolutely ridiculous. Unfortunately there was not one good thing about our trip to this restaurant tonight. I’m very disappointed in how unprofessional these...
Read moreWere were at your Coventry location in Fort Wayne Indiana. We had a group of 8. Our waitress was great and the restaurant was 1/2 full for a Saturday night. We ordered and it took an hour for our food to come. We enjoy the atmosphere so it was fine, but strange since the restaurant was only half full or so. When her food came out, our waitress just handed us items and the food looked extremely old like it’s been sitting there and I touched it and it was cold. She let me know that they were out of the chicken tender for the kids meal. I let her know right away that I don’t understand why nobody told me this as I ordered over an hour ago and It wasn’t her fault, but why wouldn’t somebody come back to our table and let us know that since you’ve been sitting here in an hour, and then all of the food was brought out and my child had nothing. Been in customer service business for a long time so I understand sometimes staffing is an issue but not one time someone told me there was a problem and that things will take longer or that way they were out of something. I told the waitress it was not her fault and I wanted to speak to a manager. When the manager came over he looked upset that he has to talk to me. I let him know my concerns and mostly that they sent the waitress out to deliver the food that you could tell was not up to standard. You could tell that he was upset that I was talking about it and he said I know that it was cold and they were out of chicken nuggets. Let him know that’s not an acceptable answer as a manager he could have walked around and let us know things were out and service would be slower. He proceeded to get even upset at me and told me that I needed to let him speak and I told him all he was giving me was excuses and not understanding why I was talking to him. I let him know that I wasn’t gonna pay for this food as I probably had over $70 or so and that I waited over an hour and a half the time I walked in restaurant at 5:20- was sat at 5:42 and food came at 7 o’clock. He told me if I was going to be belligerent that he would ask me to leave so I told him that I would. The waitress was upset that he was talking to me that way. I told her she had a great job and I handed her $20 because I feel so bad with her. I cannot believe that guy would be considered a manager. The way he talk to me talked to me while was concerning as I was just telling him direct facts about the issue. And then, when I looked at the website after we left, there are horrible reviews, people waiting for to be seated and be waiting on...
