Don Taco Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Fort Wayne

Upon entering I was not treated with very much respect or even acknowledged. The employees mostly talk amongst themselves while one person makes the food and they all talk about their own selves and ignore the customer. All of the meat on the line looked very old and low quality. They also didn’t know how to cook my corn tortillas. I picked the least gross looking meat but it was still not good, once I sat down to eat, the temperature of my tacos were very unsettling, with the meat being scalding hot and the vegetables still frozen. The tortilla was rubbery, the meat was flooding liquids and grease and also had little seasoning and had a taste that made me barf in my mouth. The sour cream was also runny and gross, the cheese also stunk like hell. I had a very poor eating experience. When I went up to talk to the management, I explained that they didn’t do anything wrong but I personally didn’t like it, and I was not specific about my issues, but I was met with hostility and rudeness and anger towards me saying I didn’t like the tacos. the woman made me prove I didn’t eat much of the tacos and had a very angry tone with me, I was calm and asked if I could please switch them for chips and salsa instead of a refund to make it easier on them, since I was also just very hungry and wanted some food. She was very reluctant to give me the chips, and stomped to the back, threw my order away, and came back and tossed a bag of chips at me aggressively and said there you go. It was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had eating out. I highly suggest no one come here and go to salsa grille or chipotle instead. Also, the chips and salsa were 3/10. Everything...

Tried Don Taco for the first time this weekend, and I will definitely be back! Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I told the gentleman behind the counter it was our first visit, and he happily explained their menu and how items are prepared. Their setup is very similar to that of Salsa Grille, Chipotle, etc. You choose the type of meal (tacos, bowl, burrito, etc.), then go down the line of options. Everything tasted very fresh and was very well priced. For my taco meal, my husband's burrito, small chips and salsa, and two bottled sodas, our total was about $23. We also noticed that any time the staff weren't busy helping a customer, they were cleaning. The entire restaurant was clean and tidy. I would give a full 5 stars if chips and salsa were included with the meal, and if salsa was available at a bar similar to Salsa...

Food is good but I'm disappointed in the price. One girl was working the register while the other one was making everyone's food. The girl at the register was punching in my order as I was asking for it. I was up charged on 9 different toppings between 2 bowls. I understand the meat and guac but I was charged extra for corn, tomato among other common veggies. I was never told they would be extra and was surprised when I paid. We also didn't get much meat at all. I could have gotten double the meat at Chipotle for less money I spent here.
