Skyline Chili — Restaurant in Fort Wayne

So disappointed because skyline is one of my all time favorites. We visited during the lunch hour and the store was packed. The staff actually forgot us and people who arrived after us had ordered, eaten their food and left. We had to find the store owner and ask for service after waiting 15 minutes just for water and crackers... With a 3 month old baby at our table. They waited so long I had to end up nursing my child because we had say there so long! The food was fine and as expected which is why I didn't give this a two star. I'm really shocked that in a bigger City like Fort Wayne that they would have more than two servers on staff for lunch rush. Their soda machines were also not working that day, so the service was even more behind. We did not receive and discount...

Decided to try Skyline Chili since I've never been ans it was a cooler day nearing fall.

I went through the drive through and placed an order for a pint of chili and cheese fries, no drink.

The total was $15, which I felt was pretty high. The woman at the window was very friendly and helpful.

Cheese fries were good, the cheese was kind of flavorless though. The chili was fairly runny, and required crackers to thicken it up otherwise it was like soup. The flavor of the chili however wasn't really what I had expected, it had almost a ginger/cinnamon after taste to it. Overall pretty unimpressed not only in cost but overall taste too.

I'm still giving it 5 stars because they didn't necessarily do anything wrong, it's just my taste...

I'm from Ohio and I love Skyline Chili. The service and food here is usually great, however tonight they were out of the ice cream we wanted. We had to order something else. This seemed strange as the Graeters ice cream promo began just this week. Why didn't they have enough in stock? The lemonade was too tart, I sent it back. The chili was good, but it wasn't hot. We were a bit disappointed tonight.

Also, this restaurant closes at 730 pm. We had to take our ice cream to go and eat it in our car. Most restaurants are open until 9 pm. We were given a ridiculous explanation for the hours: covid-19, but that isn't true. 99% of the restaurants in Fort Wayne are open until 9 pm. Please keep this in mind if you...
