Ordered a pizza from hungry howies - was not told that I couldn’t pay for an order with larger bill. My total was 24$ and after I was going to tip, it was 30$. I gave them a 100$ bill and instead of finding a way to have the change broken or offering a different way to pay, the driver drove off with my pizza and didn’t deliver it. The driver also spoke quite literally no English. I have no problem with people who speak little English, but to not even be able to tell me my bill was too large? Or the currency was too much is a little wild.
When I called the store they had no manager on duty, so the person who was there called the store manager and they told me I had to tell them that I was going to pay with a 100$? Why wouldn’t they inform me that the drivers don’t take bills above a 20$ or 50$? No compensation was offered and now me and 3 people are left waiting for 45 minutes only to not have our food delivered? 0 accountability was taken on the stores side which is unbelievable. Had I been informed the 100$ bill would be too high, I would’ve ran to grab change prior to the drop off or not ordered the pizza in the first place.
They need to get it together. In a fellow business owner in town and I never leave reviews. But to not even offer a minor form of compensation? Unbelievable. And for them to put it on me, by saying, “other places, don’t take 100$ bills” is insane. I ordered from this location before and paid with a 100$ bill and I order delivery often, usually always paying with a 100$ bill. Occasionally I have 3 20s, but it’s not often.
The worst part is, they say it’s delivered through door dash, but I ordered through them. Not door dash. So I can’t even rate my driver. Over all terrible delivery experience and very frustrating that the store manager had no accountability or ability to resolve the problem. Poor...
Read moreABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!! I'm sure they're super short staffed, but they're not handling it in a logical manner at all. First of all, they changed their hours to 4-10pm, not even an 8 hour shift?? Whatever. But they're gonna just close whenever they want now I guess and it's not even reflected on google. And the absolute worst part about all of it is their GOD AWFUL automated phone system. What kind of sense does it make to restart the effing menu if I try to press a number for the extension I already know? And then they're gonna have 15 million ads while I sit on hold for 20 minutes just to figure out what's going on. Why not transfer some employees from other locations if you're that short staffed? You're on a college campus, I know there's plenty of people that would work there if you paid more than the bare minimum. It's a shame because the food is good (when it's actually made right) but it seems to be getting worse every time I go. I doubt they genuinely care about customers experiences either because every reply to reviews on here is the same: "call this corporate number so we can learn more about your experience" no mf I'm telling you my experience right...

We received a phone call from "co owner" Jason almost 30 mins after our order was placed, confirmed and payed for online.. He called to let us know they won't deliver to our area. (mind you we are within a 3 mile radius of this location) I brought up the fact they just delivered to us Sat. and also. the fact they waited almost 30 mins later to call and tell us they aren't going to deliver ( I could have got my children something else to eat before having to go to work within 30 mins) and Jason says We just recieved your order 8 mins ago and in the same breath says we have all your food ready if you want to come pick up.... LYING much Jason?? All our food ready within 8 mins of Just reciving our order. We will NEVER do business w/ Hungry Howies again. Poor Customer service and poor management... LYING Managers... Bad...
