I have never been treated so rudely by anyone like I was by Jake. Sadly, he was a manager as well. Not only did he shout at me through the speaker and treat me as though I was uneducated. When I asked him to please write his name and corporate’s phone number on a piece of paper for me, which he did, he began yelling at me again. Insisting that he did nothing wrong except for a little sarcasm (that occurred when he apologized for being rude). He offered to comp my order once he realized I was calling corporate (which I am). I told him comping my meal wasn’t necessary (and he didn’t), I just didn’t want to be treated rudely and yelled at. There is a difference between being naturally loud and yelling at a customer and talking over them. What brought this on? I requested a Large water with one of my meals instead if a pop. To which he offered me a medium saying that the large waters were $1 more. I said that’s fine. But, he changed my meal from a meal to a la cart (which is more). I asked him to change it back to a meal and give me a large Diet Coke no ice and then get me a medium water with extra ice. Again, he began yelling and talking over me. This behavior continued at the pay window. When I asked him to take a step back and stop yelling at me, he got right into the drive thru window and right in my face. When I asked him to take a step back, it wasn’t because he was too close, it’s because he was yelling again. He lost his temper. I tried to be extra nice. I tried to explain I felt he was very rude and yelling at a customer is not okay. He told me he felt I wasn’t understanding about the water. He wouldn’t know, because he was too busy talking over me, yelling over me, and being downright rude and disrespectful! I will say that everyone else I encountered during this visit was polite and professional. I don’t know what his deal was today, but this should never have happened and should not be tolerated or allowed to happen again. Every time I have ever visited this particular McDonald’s it has been clean, really great service and great food. The food was great! The only problem was Jake’s rudeness and lack of professionalism. I would NOT recommend this location based on Jake’s behavior today. Jake told me he thought I was overreacting to nothing. I don’t think being screamed at through a drive thru speaker or at the pay window by a manager is nothing. Also, McDonalds, you should fix this issue! You are saving money by someone getting a fountain water instead of pop. This should have been an easy request. We visited June 20th, 2024 @3:00 PM. He also gave me a wrong number for corporate, this was...
Read moreFirst of all - to all of the people who in their reviews are complaining about the workers being dispassionate or not putting their heart in their job, all i have to say is this: MINIMUM WAGE, MINIMUM EFFORT. NO ETHICAL CONSUMPTION UNDER CAPITALISM. THEY ARE DOING EXACTLY THE AMOUNT OF WORK THAT IS EQUIVALENT TO THEIR PAY RATE AND THEY SHOULD DO NO MORE. FOOD SERVICE WORKERS SHOULD BE ABLE TO UNIONIZE. 15$/HR MINIMUM!!!
THAT BEING SAID - every time i've come here it's been a wonderful experience. i try to smile back at the people who work at the window because i know their job is hard. getting yelled at by a bunch of ungrateful, priveliged, spoilt old white folks who have no idea what it is to struggle and hustle has to really suck! i appreciate the work they do and my food has always been exactly what i expected/wanted, no more, no less. if not for them, i'd be making my own food at home, and a lot of time, i don't really have the energy to do that because I have to hustle at my job to! these people are doing the best they can and i appreciate and admire that.
i have sat at their dine-in room as well and ive literally never seen it being dirty. ive definitely seen people bring in their filthy, half-dressed, temper tantruming kids to eat in and then proceed not to clean up after them, i've definitely seen young men who trash the place because they think it's totally fine to be a slob so long as their mothers aren't there to chide them, but i've never seen a mcdonalds employee blatantly disregard the need for cleaning to be done. remember: these employees eat at this restaurant, too. i sincerely doubt theyd sit down at a dirty table with their meal, and think "eh, this is fine."
im sure a lot of the folks working here have more than one job. i understand it and i admire them for working as hard as they do to keep the coffee hot, the sandwiches tasty, and the drinks ice cold. if your major complaint is "my sandwich was wrong" consider how easy it is to go back in with a smile, explain the situation, and recieve a replacement with your correct sandwich. these people serve thousands of customers a day and the restaurant has to work like a well oiled machine. you aren't in there yourself, so don't act like you have the simple solution of "Do it right the first time" because there are a lot of reasons why it might not be perfect every visit, and none of them are as disastrous as all of these reviews are implying! it's just a sandwich my dudes, calm down, this isn't the hill you want to die on!
thank you, mcdonalds employees, for always being there when i need...
Read moreI placed an order for 2 Happy Meals through the app. After waiting over 25 minutes, I got home to find that not only were the orders incorrect (apples instead of the extra fries I requested), but the chocolate milk in my child’s meal had already been opened and was not full.
This is not just an error in service—it is a serious food safety issue. My child unknowingly drank from a container that had either been consumed from or tampered with. When I called the store to notify them, I spoke with the store manager, Brandon. His only solution was for me to pack my kids up, drive back, and exchange the milk. When I told him I wasn’t going to do that he told me to save the milk and bring it back another day for a new one….gross. I found his dismissive response unacceptable given the potential health risk involved.
Food that is unsealed or appears tampered with should never reach a customer, especially in a child’s meal. I am extremely concerned, both with the lapse in quality control and with the lack of seriousness shown by store leadership. Ridiculous wait time, our order was wrong, there were safety concerns and the customer service was atrocious. Never again, Burger King...
