Decided to try this place because the family that owns it has a restaurant history in FW and wanted to support them. Sadly, my experience was like many others that I have read. I walked up to the window and was greeted and asked to please wait, which was fine. Then a guy came up and they handed him his food and found out it was his first time as well. He left and then I ordered. A young man teens/early 20’s waited on me and I had to repeat a couple of things like he was distracted. This was my first concern. I waited in my vehicle and while waiting the guy from earlier came back, because they put toppings on his sandwich that he specifically asked them not to, so they had to remake it and that took priority and thus slowed my order down, which was fine and still wasn’t a long time. When I got my order (steak & cheese panini) I noticed the bread was smashed but not toasted hardly at all. See pic. Then I noticed the size for $10 was kind of small, but not a big deal if it was amazing, it was not. I had them add banana peppers and mayo. But the mayo was missing. So thankfully I was still there and went and asked for mayo. Not a huge deal I guess, but even after the mayo, the sandwich was dry and very underwhelming. They told me when I asked for mayo that they don’t put mayo on it, but I said I ordered it with and she was like oh ok I’ll grab some. So imagine that sandwich with just steak and cheese?? I did order the potato salad based on reviews, but it wasn’t life changing good, like others seemed to think. It was okay, but not something I would remember the next day and or ever crave. It’s a decent size cup, but not huge for $2.99. So, all in and with no napkins given or offered lol, I was at $14+w/tax. He did offer a potato salad for free when he handed me my food for the wait, but I told him I had ordered and paid for some already, he acted surprised and gave me a free bottle of water instead, which was nice, but not necessary I told him because the wait wasn’t bad. I’m not sure where the disconnect of not paying attention or reading instructions when taking orders or preparing the food is happening, but if they can reign that in and actually turn the panini press “ON” when pressing, and make sandwiches less dry, they might have a chance! I wish them the best and I might try again in a few months to see if they...
Read moreI have been here twice and have been very pleased with the quality of the food each time. My first order was a BLT Club, which had a nice fresh flavor, and my second was the Papa Georgio’s Italian, which had some very flavorful and high-quality meats. The balsamic glaze was delicious as well, but there was a lot, causing it to become a messy sandwich to eat. I actually liked how much glaze there was because it was so good, but if you are eating in the car on the drive home or to work, definitely make sure you have some extra napkins for this one!
The owners and workers there are all super nice and have treated me very well. They act enthusiastic about their service and food, and talk to you like a friend. They have made sure to make me feel like a valued customer, which is what prompted me to write the review. They also are very communicative with you and will gladly explain or talk about any order you have.
Some other reviews mention wait time, which is a little higher sometimes. The first time my wait felt longer, but the second time I came it barely took more than five minutes, which was definitely shorter. When you order they explain they make everything fresh so it may take a while, but my second time coming the wait was less than I expected it to be. While there may be a wait to get your food, there is rarely a wait for your order to be taken. It is taken as soon as you pull up to the window. The first time, someone actually came out and met me to take my order while there was still a car ahead of me.
Portion sizes are fair for their prices, and can be quite generous too. I ordered a 6” Papa Georgio’s Italian, but I’d say it was probably closer to eight. I do not leave here feeling hungry, or like I’ve been cheated out of my money’s worth, by any means.
To round out this review, it’s a small, charming business, with lovely and friendly people working at it. I’m very glad I gave it a chance and finally stopped by! I am looking forward to trying more sandwiches in the future, and maybe even getting some of their homemade soups this winter. I love the food and I love the people. I’ll definitely be...
Read moreI went there about like 1-2 weeks ago trying to support a fast food but when I got there they left there microphone unmuted and you could hear everything and how he was screaming or yelling at someone in the building I didn’t want to bother and just get my food so I ordered and I asked for a Italian beef but when the person at the register took my order probably at the age of 20 he did a very nice and polite job but in the backround you still here the boss or whoever in kitchen disrespecting his employees and being rude lastly when I received my order the bread was soggy and the beef was burnt mostly obvious on the outside as you could see burnt crisp all over the food mostly bread I didn’t appreciate my first time coming there maybe they had a abad day the boss tried to give me free coleslaw and potato salad and I politely agreed and I received my coleslaw but it’s was very disgusting and tasted very processed like the store ones even tho the managers I assume said that it was freshly most likely not coming back do not...
