I wanted to love this place, i did the first 2-3 times but after after 15 visits, i can’t say that I do. The people are very friendly, i absolutely love how convenient it is to home. Management is really cool. They even give wishbone treats to your pup.
Unfortunately, their coffee, is not a hit. Per my husband and daughter, their Vietnamese coffee does not pack the same punch as poplar places like Ampersand, etc. they have it down. But was misses the mark for me is their hot coffees. It is never hot (comparing to Avoca, Starbucks, Crafworks, etc. not like i want it to scald my mouth.) I mean never. I even have to ask for them to make it hot and it still comes out warm. And this is coming from someone who waits for it to cool down first. Because of the warm temp, it quickly becomes cool or room temp before i get to even finish it. To top it off, not sure how they do their syrup. Maybe they pump it into the cup first, or last? Not sure the proper order, but i have to take it home and stir it. If not, it has no syrup flavor for the first drinks, and they extremely sweet as i get to the last half or quarter.
I keep trying to give them a chance, so i have gone way many more times than i wish i would have bc i hate microwaving my coffee...so this is not a one-off experience.
They have one of the best egg/bacon sandwiches in the world! Im addicted to them. However they are inconsistent. My family and i love these for the special sauce they put in it. But its hit or miss, sometimes they barely put any on so you cant even taste it and sometimes they put it one right.
It just frustrating spending that much on coffee and being verbally asked for a tip for something im not sure will even come out right...i will change my review and ratings as soon as there is some...
Read moreCame here for the first time today. I got 2 Vietnamese Iced Coffees and 2 egg and cheese sandwiches with Brisket.
Megan (pronounced like Mee-gan) was super sweet at the window and I really appreciated her patience with me as I was figuring out what I wanted. She recommended the Vietnamese Iced Coffee to me and I LOVED it. It's really creamy and gives me a milk tea vibe. It's also great for people who don't prefer chocolate (like my boyfriend does). The sandwiches were so well made and they're a standard size for sandwiches, they're not tiny like biscuits. Alex made them super quick and they were delicious. I really liked how the buns were soft and buttery. Usually I'm hesitant to get an egg and cheese sandwich cause most are super dry with the buns/biscuits they use. This wasn't, it was moist and a melt in your mouth kinda good.
Thank you so much Megan and Alex! I'll...
Read moreThe brisket and egg sandwich was perfection! Chef's kiss!! The Vietnamese iced coffee was also amazing. Quick and friendly service made for a very pleasant experience. The only downside is that it is very pricey. I understand that it's located on the TCU side of the railroad tracks and that means people drive fancier cars and have bigger bank accounts. So I know they can charge high dollar prices and the wealthy clientele will pay it without batting an eye. I'm not in that category of people and traveled over the tracks to give this place a try. 2 sandwiches and 2 coffees was $29. So yes it was good but was it that good- meh...
