A team of employees and I visited Charleston’s to celebrate our boss's birthday, arriving with balloons, gifts, and a cake. We requested a table for seven guests and informed the staff that one member would be late. Paula, the host, was unaccommodating and insisted on waiting until the entire party was present. Despite explaining that one guest was running late and another was in the parking lot, Paula refused to seat us, stating, 'I only count four of ya'll in here.' I then spoke with Bailey, the manager, who was equally dismissive and RUDE! The manager's behavior was very unprofessional, and we considered leaving and going elsewhere. Furthermore, the manager proceeded to gossip with the staff, who then stared and laughed in our direction. The establishment's customer service was terrible and the management needs significant improvement, if not REPLACED!! To compound the issue, a party of three that arrived after us was seated with only three people, despite requesting a table for four. A coworker mentioned that prior to my arrival, a large party was seated with fewer guests than expected, highlighting the inconsistent application of the restaurant's policies.
Upon my boss's arrival, she requested to speak with Bailey, (Mgr.) who exhibited unprofessional behavior towards my boss and blatantly misrepresented the facts to justify her actions. We chose to leave the establishment and went to Meso Maya across the parking lot, where we received EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE, proper greetings, and GREAT FOOD!! I plan to contact the Executive General Manager, John Felmet, and the corporate office tomorrow! TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!!!
My boyfriend and I dined here last night for the very first time, Tony was our server. He was very polite and attentive, thank you Tony for your great hospitality and taking the time to guide us through the menus! With his help we ordered the croissant basket & spinach artichoke dip as starters, and for dinner the chicken fried chicken & parmesan crusted chicken. They were all very delicious, I thoroughly enjoyed the spinach dip as I never find restaurants that use actual fresh/flash frozen spinach, it’s always the canned variety and lacks flavor. It was nice and creamy, served with salsa and sour cream. For my palate I would advise not to add any sour cream to the dip since the original recipe is already perfect, we basically licked the bowl clean lol. The chicken fried chicken was super flavorful and I could taste each spice and seasoning used in the flour/batter, the gravy was subtle but a nice touch and smoothly creamy. I’m not a fan of cooked carrots so I substituted for steamed & buttered broccoli, I also opted for the up-charge to make the mashed potatoes loaded with cheese, bacon, and chives. Both sides were quite yummy :) My boyfriend really enjoyed his plate, and it comes with this small portion of fresh mozzarella salad - it includes spring greens and a vinaigrette that is extra tangy, a nice palate cleanser to his pasta dish. I also ordered the non-alcoholic vanilla blackberry punch but it just wasn’t doing it for me, I guess I’m not a huge fan of ginger beer lol. Overall a very pleasant date night, will come here again when we have the chance :)
For transparency, our total after tax for everything we ordered was $76 before tipping. Hope whoever’s reading this has a good experience dining here! Another side note, due to the volume of how many people come to dine the walk-ways may be blocked off...

From the moment you walk through the doors, the warm, inviting atmosphere sets the stage for a memorable meal. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between upscale and casual—dim lighting, rich wood tones, and comfortable seating make it ideal for any occasion, whether it's a date night, family dinner, or business lunch.
The service at Charleston's is truly top-notch. The staff is always attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. Our server made thoughtful recommendations and ensured our drinks were refilled and needs met without being intrusive. It's clear that customer satisfaction is a top priority here, and the professionalism of the team adds so much to the overall experience.
Now, the food—absolutely outstanding! The menu offers a variety of options, all executed with incredible attention to detail. I highly recommend starting with the croissants served with honey butter; they are light, flaky, and melt in your mouth. The spinach artichoke dip is another fantastic appetizer—rich, creamy, and perfectly paired with fresh tortilla chips.
For the main course, the prime rib is a standout—tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection, paired with a flavorful au jus and creamy horseradish sauce. The ribs are another must-try: fall-off-the-bone tender with a smoky, tangy barbecue glaze that’s unforgettable. If you prefer lighter fare, the grilled salmon is perfectly seasoned and flaky, served with vibrant seasonal vegetables. Every plate is presented beautifully and tastes as good as it looks.
The salads deserve special mention. The house salad, with its crisp greens, bacon, egg, and cheese, is simple but done so well. The croissant that comes with it is the...
